Webmaster's House (ChinaZ.com) December 30 News: LG Display has recently come into focus for several innovations and impressive concepts for its TV displays. It also showcases some transparent display designs that other TV manufacturers can take advantage of.
The company has now unveiled "OLED EX" technology for OLED TVs and says it will provide a 30 percent brightness boost compared to current OLED displays. OLED EX uses EX technology based on deuterium and personalization algorithms to achieve an increase in display brightness.
Explaining the concept behind OLED EX, LG Display said that EX stands for Evolution and eXperience and aligns with the company's goal of providing customers with new experiences through its evolving OLED technology.
OLED EX will provide faster response times and excellent overall display performance. It allows for more control over the TV display using machine learning processes. This will optimize the display's energy input to more accurately express the details and colors of the video content being played. LG Display says that by reducing thickness by 30%, OLED EX displays will have thinner bezels and provide a more immersive viewing experience with a premium design.
Starting in the second quarter of 2022, LG Display will use OLED EX technology in all OLED TV displays produced at its facilities in Paju, South Korea and Guangzhou, China.
