The 2022 Qingdao International Violin Competition will be held in Qingdao, China from October 8 to 20, 2022. At that time, 40 Chinese and foreign players will gather in Qingdao, and the gold medal winners will receive 40,000 US dollars in prize money. In addition, the competition also featured the "Lin Yaoji" Excellent Performance Award and the Chinese Works Award.

The 2022 Qingdao International Violin Competition is jointly sponsored by the Central Conservatory of Music, the Propaganda Department of the Qingdao Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and the People's Government of Qingdao Shinan District, and co-hosted by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Shinan District Committee, the Qingdao Shinan District Culture and Tourism Bureau and Beijing Yangyin Education Technology Co., Ltd. The competition extends invitations to Chinese and foreign violin players between the ages of 16 and 36, and in the complex and severe situation of the global covid-19 epidemic, the 2022 Qingdao International Violin Competition will be held in the mode of "online" preliminary competition and offline competition.

According to the organizers, the competition has a special art advisory committee to ensure the fairness of the competition with mature competition rules and excellent judging committees, and to create a top competition environment and a platform for exchange and display for the contestants. World-famous violinists Zach Brown, Boris Kouchner, Paul Lockzak, Shlomo Mintz, Jin Min, Lin Zhaoliang, Hu Kun, Lu Siqing, Liu Yunzhi, Xu Weiling, Xie Nan, Ning Feng, Yang Gefang, famous conductors Yu Long, Li Xincao, Lü Jia, Zhang Guoyong, Yang Yang, Chen Lin, as well as Uric Zusi of the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria, Joseph Pollich, honorary dean of the Juilliard School of Music, and Alexei Vasilev, president of the St. Petersburg Conservatory of Music in Russia. The vice president of the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy, such as Moretz Champi, served as commissioners. A high-standard, high-level jury composed of art advisors and experts will conduct professional and rigorous selection of contestants for their performances.

The original pedagogy of Lin Yaoji, the world's outstanding violin educator and professor of the Central Conservatory of Music, has been widely circulated. The competition features the "Lin Yaoji" Excellent Performance Award and the Chinese Works Award, adding unique Elements of Chinese Music Culture.

"The China International Violin Competition was previously one of the three major Chinese international music competitions hosted by the Ministry of Culture and hosted by the Qingdao Municipal Government.
