Heroes and martyrs are all admirable, they are in different times, have different genders, come from different classes, but have the same goal, just to do something for a country and a nation. Some of them turned the tide politically, some came to prominence in the literary world, some worked hard in science, and some erected monuments on the battlefield for posterity that can be sung and wept.

From ancient times to the present, in order to commemorate these figures, those of us who came after us will always find ways to find traces of them. In order to understand their stories, we go through the history books; in order to return to their time, we reproduce their lives through dramas and documentaries; in order to understand their appearance more accurately, we restore their appearance as accurately as possible by restoring the pictures; in order to forever commemorate their sounds and smiles, we open one portrait and another, wanting to keep them in our memory forever.

The north wind whistled and rolled up the reeds, and a group of young people with determined eyes crossed the Yalu River, about to fight to defend the motherland that was in ruins. Shangganling was sprinkled with their blood, and the shores of Lake Chosin were bodies they could never return. Who they are, they are heroic volunteer martyrs, people we will never forget. On July 28 of this year, the souls of another group of volunteer martyrs boarded a flight home. When they went, they were seven-foot men, but in the blink of an eye, they were already yellow earth and white bones. At the Martyrs' Cemetery for resisting US Aggression and Aiding Korea in Shenyang, the heroic soul of martyr Qiu Shaoyun has been waiting for these comrades-in-arms for a long time.

In 1926, Qiu Shaoyun was born in the family of a boat pusher in Tongliang County, and there was one more boy in the family, and the boat pusher Lao Qiu worked harder than ever. Soon after, however, death descended upon this poor little home. Because of the disagreement with the boat owner, the boat pusher Lao Qiu was actually killed by the boat owner. Soon after, suffering from poverty and disease, Lao Qiu's wife also died. Fortunately, their relatives have been taking care of their leftover son, a child named Qiu Shaoyun, who tasted the hardships of life prematurely. In order to fill his stomach, at the age of 13, Qiu Shaoyun went to work as a long-term worker. Seeing that the landlords often bullied the long-term workers, Qiu Shaoyun's heart was very uneven, and the young man hoped that he could do more for the kind and poor people in the future.

In one class, Chen Daquan and Qiu Shaoyun studied and trained together every day, and although they did not have much contact with others in private, they could always talk about how to improve their combat skills. Although one speaks authentic Sichuan dialect and one likes to speak The Guizhou dialect, the two young people's feelings for the motherland are the same. As the saying goes, there is no feast under the heavens. Because the skills they are good at are different, when choosing a company, Chen Daquan and Qiu Shaoyun chose different companies. Chen Daquan became a member of the machine gun company, while Qiu Shaoyun entered the reconnaissance company with his own perseverance. When they parted, Qiu Shaoyun and Chen Daquan gave each other photos, and Chen Daquan never expected that this photo would become the only photo to record Qiu Shaoyun's life.

On October 11, 1952, in order to successfully launch an attack on the outpost positions of the US army, Qiu Shaoyun and more than 500 other fighters lurked in the Barmouth field only 60 meters away from the position. In order to test whether the volunteer soldiers were lurking, the US military conducted a fire reconnaissance at noon on the 12th. The so-called fire reconnaissance is a way of finding out whether there is a reconnaissance unit by firing incendiary bombs. Basson is what we often call artemisia, and they are a plant that is very easy to ignite. It is conceivable how much disaster the incendiary bomb and the barmon pole will cause if they meet.

Sure enough, when the incendiary bomb fell to Qiu Shaoyun's side, a fire was ignited instantly. The fire snake spat out a letter and directly ignited Qiu Shaoyun's cotton coat. Although there was a puddle nearby, in order not to let his comrades be discovered by the US aircraft, in order to complete the task smoothly, Qiu Shaoyun gave up the opportunity to turn into the puddle to save himself, and after being burned by flames for half an hour, he finally left this world. Not far away, on Mount Wusheng, Chen Daquan was taking cover for Qiu Shaoyun's troops. When he learned of Qiu Shaoyun's sacrifice, his heart was extremely sad and indignant. Although after this, he and his brothers in the company killed many enemies together, but after the battle was over, Chen Daquan was still very sad in his heart, he knew that Qiu Shaoyun and other sacrificed comrades would never come back.
