In recent years, in order to help "drive 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports", Hebei Province has focused on "where to skate", "who to skate", "who to teach" and "who to guarantee", and continue to promote the in-depth development of ice and snow sports. Driven by the Provincial Ice and Snow Games, the number of people participating in ice and snow sports in the province has increased year by year. Driven by the first provincial ice and snow games in 2019, more than 17 million people participated in ice and snow sports in the province. Driven by the second provincial ice and snow games in 2020, more than 21 million people in the province participated in ice and snow sports.

Since the beginning of this year, Hebei Province has extensively carried out the third ice and snow games at the provincial, municipal and county (city, district) levels, and continued to expand the scale of participation and improve the quality of the event. Among them, the third provincial ice and snow games have completed more than 1100 competitions in 11 sub-events. In addition, Hebei Province has also carried out 1753 ice and snow leagues this year, and the third ice and snow games at the city and county levels have held 5147 competitions. At the same time, focusing on the "doorstep" of the masses, with the "3 + X" project, with the characteristics of "parent-child sports" and fun competitions, the community ice and snow games were held throughout the province, achieving full coverage of all communities, and creating more than 10,000 ice and snow sports experience areas in parks, shopping malls and enterprise stores; extensively carrying out the "ice and snow caravan" 100 cities and thousands of villages tour experience activities, provincial, municipal and county sports departments organized and mobilized all sectors of society to assemble more than 500 "ice and snow caravans", walked through all townships, and walked into more than 10,900 administrative villages. At the same time, we will further promote ice and snow sports into the campus, hold the "Heart to Winter Olympics" campus ice and snow season activities throughout the province, implement the rural school roller skating shoe allocation plan and the ice and snow project training plan for primary and secondary school physical education teachers, and achieve full coverage of campus ice and snow events in the province. With the joint efforts of all walks of life in the province, the ice and snow sports in Hebei Province continue to develop in depth, and the number of ice and snow events and the number of people participating in ice and snow sports has continued to increase, and up to now, more than 38,000 ice and snow events have been held.
