The iPhone 15 may not have a physical SIM card slot

According to Brazilian website Blog do iPhone, the upcoming iPhone 15 series will not have a slot for a physical SIM card.

The iPhone 13 supports both digital eSIM and nano-SIM card slots, while the iPhone 15 is reported to have no physical SIM slots, but can support up to two eSIM for dual SIM capability.

Having a dual eSIM card allows users to have two service lines, one for a data-only plan and one for cellular use. In terms of integrity, the absence of a SIM card slot equals increased water resistance. However, for regions without eSIM technology, some iPhone 15 models may be forced to have them.

In line with this, there are rumors that Apple will launch portless iPhones in the future. With the iPhone 15 still about two years away, it's best to be on the defensive about the rumors.
