In 1753, Zheng Banqiao was sixty-one years old and demoted to an official. "When they went to Weicheng, the people covered the road and stayed, and their families painted portraits to worship, and spontaneously established a shrine for Zheng Banqiao at Weicheng Haidao Temple." It is said that the people who sent them off at that time pleaded with Zhengzhi County to leave a message for the people. Zheng Banqiao looked at the villagers to help the elderly and children, and said, "I sincerely hope that you can treat your elderly like your own children." When the crowd heard this, they looked at each other and suddenly realized the reasoning, and all nodded their heads and said yes. Although Zheng Banqiao's "admonition" to the villagers has not been found in the history of the county history, its real vitality lies in the fact that it has been circulated in the folk for more than 200 years, and the local people are still talking about it.

A long history, "respecting the old and loving the young", as a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation, has circulated many moving stories and written an immortal chapter in national culture.
