Recently, some netizens exposed that Hengchi 5, the first new car of Evergrande Automobile, was finally off the production line. The downline did not carry out a lot of publicity, just silently offline, and did not invite a large number of media to report, which formed a strong contrast with the scene that had to be vigorously publicized in the previous road test.
Hengchi 5 is positioned as a pure electric compact SUV, the appearance design comes from the team led by Shiro Nakamura of Hengchi Automobile, using the popular split design, the shape refers to the ancient Chinese weapon - battle halberd, the recognition is very strong. The body side proportions are very harmonious, the lines are smooth and powerful. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the car are 4725*1925*1688mm, and the wheelbase is 2780mm.
In terms of power, Hengchi 5 is expected to be equipped with an electric motor produced by United Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 150 kW (204 hp) and a comprehensive cruising range of up to 700 km.
Previously, on December 8, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the 350th batch of road motor vehicle manufacturers and products list, and the two Evergrande automobile models that were still listed in November were removed, most likely because Evergrande Automobile failed to pass the publicity. And these two cars are Hengchi 5, but the configuration is different.
According to Evergrande's internal sources, the car was originally planned to roll off the production line at the Tianjin factory early next year and sell it in the domestic market. To this end, Evergrande spared no expense, the core management voluntarily suspended pay, mobilized talents from all over the country to rush to Tianjin, directly settled in the factory, to ensure that the new car can be smoothly off the line. However, the plan can not catch up with the change, the delisting event has a great impact on this car, there is already news that if the new car does not go off the production line at the end of 2021, Evergrande Automobile's new energy license will be withdrawn.
