The most blessed marshal, who was never injured in three encounters, was the last marshal to die

Among the famous generals in new China, none of them have experienced ups and downs, almost everyone has crawled out of the pile of dead people, and even the great leader Chairman Mao has encountered several dangerous situations. But there was a deputy general among the ten founding marshals, who worked in the revolution all his life and was never harmed. He was also the last of the ten marshals to die.

The most blessed marshal, who was never injured in three encounters, was the last marshal to die

This general with bad luck was Marshal Nie Rongzhen. In his later years, in his memoirs, he said that he had never been injured, let alone arrested, which could be regarded as a blessing and a great life. Although Lady Luck took such care of him, she was also in distress three times.

Everyone must have heard of the fierceness of the Sichuan Army, and Marshal Nie Rongzhen was a native of Jiangjin County, Sichuan. From a small family with difficulties, Marshal Nie Rongzhen also lived up to the expectations of the success of the diligent and thrifty study and was admitted to the key middle school at that time. In October 1919, when he was in his early 20s, he met Comrade Deng Xiaoping on his way to study in France, and later returned from his studies and went to the Soviet Union for further study. Since then, he has embarked on the road of revolution.

Marshal Nie Rongzhen's three distresses all occurred after the defeat of the revolution in 1927 and he went underground.

The first time was in Hong Kong

It was in the spring of 1928. On the eve of his wedding, he came back from an errand and was just about to go home when he found his aunt at the door helping him move things, a strange event that alerted him. So he observed outside for a long time, it turned out that the enemy was not searching his residence, and the aunt at the door was the one who helped him send him a signal, this time Marshal Nie Rongzhen cleverly hid. Only afterwards did he learn from other sources that it was the enemy who had pried open the traitor's mouth and learned of his residence.

Second distress

It's when the organization is meeting. At that time, everyone had already agreed on the location of the secret meeting, and Nie Rongzhen was late due to special matters. And just when he was about to arrive, he suddenly found that the comrades attending the meeting had been controlled by the enemy and were escorting them from the second floor, Nie Rongzhen was not in a hurry at this time and calmly walked up the stairs as if what had just happened had nothing to do with him, he rubbed shoulders with the enemy, and this calm courage was very human.

Third distress

On the road, he met the traitors, who happened to be on the same tram in Hong Kong. Nie Rongzhen found that the enemy situation quickly lowered the brim of his hat, and then found an opportunity to take advantage of the crowd of people getting on and off the bus to jump down and cleverly avoid this fate.

Later, when Marshal Nie Rongzhen returned to his hometown in his later years to tell the younger generations about these experiences, he lamented: There can be no carelessness in working in the "white areas", and many revolutionary comrades have sacrificed because of careless desertion, after all, sometimes danger is in an instant.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Marshal Nie Rongzhen worked hard to cultivate the next generation, and his daughter became the only female lieutenant general in China. Although the daughter was the pearl in her father's hand, Nie Rongzhen was very strict with her. Not only that, but even the clothes worn by his own granddaughter are patches in the three outer layers.

As the children of leading cadres, they should set an example for the broad masses of the people, which was marshal Nie Rongzhen's teaching to his family when he was alive. On May 14, 1992, Nie Glory died in Beijing at the age of 93, and he was also the last of the ten marshals to leave the world.
