【Three Ice Club Tour】Reporter explores Laiyuan Wind Tunnel Laboratory, and the Winter Olympic Technology is actually so cattle!

Hosted by the Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau and undertaken by the New Media Center of Hebei Radio and Television Station, the all-media tour group of the Third Ice and Snow Games of Hebei Province came to the wind tunnel laboratory located in the national ski jumping base, which is an important part of the Winter Olympics of Science and Technology, and the "wind tunnel laboratory" originally used for aerospace and other aerospace is now used to assist athletes to carry out simulation training and testing. At the same time, it can also test the clothing fabric to find clothing fabrics that are suitable for the characteristics of different sports and different material requirements, helping athletes better wick away perspiration and reduce resistance, thereby creating better sports performance.

【Three Ice Club Tour】Reporter explores Laiyuan Wind Tunnel Laboratory, and the Winter Olympic Technology is actually so cattle!

Laiyuan National Ski Jumping Scientific Research and Training Wind Tunnel has three test sections, namely the horizontal test section, the starting test section and the leap test section. The horizontal test section can carry out resistance measurement and training tasks for athletes in the ski-aid stage of ski jumping sports. The wind tunnel test section has a maximum wind speed of 42 meters per second, which is currently the world's largest domestic ski jumping dedicated wind tunnel, and can also be used for other racing sports related drag reduction measurement tests and athlete training tasks.

On the first floor of the wind tunnel laboratory, a large running platform can accommodate two athletes wearing off-road skates to glid side by side. After the athletes warm up on the running platform, they perform "hanging flight" training in the 32-degree slope area. The oversized "electric fan" with 12 blades begins to operate, and the athletes who are basically in the force balance state when the wind speed reaches 24 meters per second make a ski-jumping aerial flight posture with the help of the staff, and maintain this aerial action for several minutes under the protection of the instructor, which can effectively help the athletes improve the balance of maintaining the best posture in the air and driving the snowboard flight. According to reports, the national team has been training in this wind tunnel laboratory for about a year.

Under the overall planning of the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport and the General Administration of The People's Republic of China, China has built a sports wind tunnel cluster including the sports comprehensive wind tunnel of the Erqi Factory Science and Training Base, the professional wind tunnel of Laiyuan ski jumping, and the winter sports management center has also cooperated with the wind tunnel laboratory of Beijing Jiaotong University to conduct research on wind tunnel technology and application of scientific and technological research in winter projects, and has formed a wind tunnel training system for winter projects, sports posture optimization and drag reduction technology, queue optimization and drag reduction technology, and environmental wind assessment and response technology during track matches. A complete system of wind resistance performance evaluation technology for sports equipment. With the maturity of application technology, it may also be applied to mass sports in the future. The wind tunnel will not only allow athletes to "fly farther", but will also help the future development of Chinese sports.
