When the Japanese got these bills and printing machines, they simply got a cash cow. They can effortlessly create very realistic counterfeit money with a printing press and let them flow into the national unification area, thus paralyzing the economy of the national unification area. It can be seen that the Japanese aggressors are vicious, and they not only want to eliminate us on the battlefield, but also economically disrupt the national unification areas.
In the face of this serious situation, Dai Kasa, as the head of the Military Command, offered a policy to Chiang Kai-shek in January 1942: "Why don't you treat others in the way of others?" I also print your counterfeit money! Since the Japanese can disrupt the economy of the nationalist areas with counterfeit money, we can also use the strategy of "fake against fake" to destroy the finances of the occupied areas.
Chiang Kai-shek was very appreciative of Dai's suggestion, so he consulted the finance minister Song Ziwen and the president of the Bank of China, Pei Zuyi, and others, who all thought it was a good idea. At that time, Song Ziwen was in the United States, and he also consulted President Roosevelt, who expressed his support.

The Japanese secretly printed the legal tender of the Kuomintang Region, and the Nationalist Region could not print its own counterfeit banknotes, that is self-destructing the Great Wall. The other was transported from Xi'an to Luoyang, where the Military Command Freight Office and Tang Enbo's Material Transfer Office exchanged supplies with traitors of the Wang puppet regime and then transported back to Chongqing.
Later, considering that these counterfeit coins were expensive to print in the United States and had a long cycle, Dai Kasa suggested printing them in Chongqing. With Chiang Kai-shek's consent, a factory for printing counterfeit banknotes was built near Yangjiashan in Chongqing.
This "counterfeit money versus counterfeit money" war without smoke of gunpowder has three significances for the National Government: First, it foiled the economic conspiracy of the Japanese and the puppets; second, it used counterfeit money to purchase a large number of materials from the occupied areas to support the War of Resistance Against Japan; third, it destroyed the financial system of the occupied areas and ensured the operation of the wartime economy of the nationalist areas.
However, the side effect is that such a practice directly leads to inflation in the occupied areas, soaring prices, and the suffering of the people in the occupied areas.
