With the opening of the first phase of the "Chengdu-Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor" with three heavy-duty truck demonstration lines, these heavy-duty trucks will carry goods through important node cities such as Deyang, Zigong and Neijiang in the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle.
It is understood that the "Chengdu-Chongqing Hydrogen Corridor" will build an interconnected hydrogen energy infrastructure network, form a demonstration-led hydrogen energy vehicle transportation system, achieve the coordinated development of "hydrogen-station-car", and lead the rapid development of hydrogen energy and fuel cell vehicle industry in the twin-city economic circle of Chengdu-Chongqing region. After nearly ten years of development, the company has fully mastered the development of hydrogen fuel cell core components including membrane electrodes, stack engineering design and other key technologies, and successfully developed a series of hydrogen fuel cell products with completely independent intellectual property rights.
More than 100 buses loaded with Dongfang Electric hydrogen fuel cell engine system have been running more than 10 million kilometers in Pidu District, Chengdu, carrying nearly 12 million passengers, and the average hydrogen consumption is as low as 3.4kg/100km. "Among vehicles of the same level, 'hydrogen consumption' is the lowest in the country." Xie Guangyou, deputy general manager and senior engineer of Dongfang Electric (Chengdu) Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology Co., Ltd., said that the company has developed the third generation of hydrogen fuel cell buses, intercity buses and logistics vehicles, and completed the commissioning of the first 100 kW hydrogen fuel cell cold, heat and power combined power system project in China.
