Longkou City, located in the north of Jiaodong Peninsula, was formerly known as Huang County, with a long history.
Huang County, not only is it one of the counties of Donglai County explicitly mentioned in the "Geographical Records of the Book of Han", but also has been famous in the scriptures as early as the period of Qin Shi Huang's Eastern Tour, and the "History of Qin Shi Huang Benji" says: "(The First Emperor) twenty-eight years, huang, qi, poor into mountains, climb the fu, climb the fu. Although the exact age of the establishment of Huang County is difficult to verify, many researchers believe that the Huang and Ye Liangyi have begun to take shape at least during the Warring States Tian Qi period. Huangxian Taishi clan, since Taishi Ci, there are not many celebrities. After a period of silence, the Huangxian Chunyu clan reappeared on the historical stage in the Tang Dynasty. The chun yu nan and Chun Yu Lang brothers were the heroes of the peninsula in the late Sui and early Tang dynasties, and later submitted to the Tang Dynasty, and were appointed as the Dengzhou Thorn History and the Laizhou Thorn History respectively (recorded in the Zizhi Tongjian).
Before the Tang Dynasty, the peninsula only had Laizhou and no Dengzhou, and the establishment of Dengzhou began with Chunyu Difficulty. At that time, Chun Yunan occupied Wendeng as the foundation, and after the Tang Dynasty accepted his submission, it used the character "Deng" of Wendeng as the name of the newly established state in the eastern part of the peninsula. The relocation of dengzhou to Penglai is a few decades later.
However, in addition to the chun yu nan and chun yu lang brothers, in the final Tang dynasty, Huang County Chun Yu surname and few well-known people. This may be related to the avoidance of changing surnames during the Tang Xianzong period. The Old Book of Tang says: "In December of the first year of the Zhenyuan Dynasty, Nongyin changed Chun County to Qingxi County, and those whose surname was Chun Yu changed their surname to Yu. This Jiaodong Chunyu surname figure was Chun Yuyan, a curtain cook under the later Tang general Huo Yanwei. Chun Yuyan's place of origin was only recorded as a "Dengzhou person" in the historical records at that time. However, the Qing Dynasty's "Shandong Tongzhi" was further supplemented as Huang County, based on the ChunYu Tomb Shinto Stele standing on the Ulyang Mountain, and the person who wrote the inscription was Chun Yuyan.
Ulyang Mountain is in the east of Longkou City (Zhuyouguan Town), at the junction of Penghuang. Because in ancient times, there were Chunyu tombs and Shinto monuments here, and the Chunyu family in Huangxian County has always regarded this as their ancestral home. There are still Chunyu villages (Donglai Street, Longkou City) where people with the surname Chunyu are distributed, and the village chronicle records that: "In the middle and early Ming Dynasty, the surname Chunyu moved from the current Zhuyuguan Town, Ulyang Mountain, and Chunyu Village, called Chunyu Village, and in 1981, it was more Chunyu Village. ”
In the 1980s, Chunyu Village was renamed Chenghou Chunyu Village, mainly to avoid duplicate names. At that time, there was also a Village of Chunyu in the area around Zhuyuguan. Perhaps because the village of Chunyu was closer to the ancestral home of Ulyang Mountain, it did not change its name. In fact, the Chunyu village of Zhuyuguan Town has no more people with the surname Chunyu.
Similar situations exist in other counties and municipalities on the Jiaodong Peninsula. For example, Laizhou, Laiyang, Penglai, Zhaoyuan and other places are called "Chunyu" or villages with the word "Chunyu", which are said to have a relationship with Chunyu surname, but now it is difficult to find chunyu surname traces.
In fact, even in chunyu village behind the city, chunyu surname is not the only surname. This village also has more than ten surnames such as Qu, Wang, Shan, Feng, Cheng, Zou, and Chi. But even so, Chunyu Village in chenghou can be called one of the few Chunyu surname settlements in Jiaodong today. According to statistics from the 1980s, there were about 90 households with the surname Chunyu in the village. The details of the current situation are not known, but it should also be on this scale, and the float will not be too large.
