Therefore, the Qing government gave two plans, the first was exile, and the second was to sell.
In order to prevent the Taiping Army from rebelling again, the Qing government exiled them to Southeast Asia and let them survive there, so there are many descendants of the Taiping Army in Southeast Asia. The Taiping Army, which was sold, was the most pitiful, when the countries of South America were relatively short of labor and wanted to buy cheap labor in Japan and China. At first, the Qing government refused to engage in human trafficking, but countries such as Portugal were still secretly looking for Chinese willing to go to South America. It just so happened that the Qing government did not know what to do with the Taiping Army, and finally sold them directly to South America.
Nearly 30,000 Taiping troops were sold to Portugal and Peru, where they were mostly miners. However, they are hard-working and adapt in a short period of time. Later, Peru and Chile quarreled over mineral resources, and the Taiping Army helped Chile succeed, and Chile eventually reorganized them into its own army.
In the ensuing war, the Taiping Army performed very well, and the king gave them a piece of land to manage themselves, that is, Yin Jike. There are now 300,000 Chinese descendants who communicate through the Chinese language. It can be seen that the Chinese nation is still very strong and can be carried over in any environment.
