On October 17th, the launching ceremony of the 17th "Chinese Bridge" World Student Chinese Competition was held at the International Academic Exchange Center of Tianjin Normal University. Relevant leaders of Tianjin Municipality and the Center for Language Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education attended the event.
The launching ceremony kicked off with a lion dance performance jointly presented by the international students of Tianjin Normal University and the lion dance team of Tianjin University of Physical Education, and the festive and joyful performance instantly ignited the atmosphere of the scene. The singing and dancing skewers by Chinese and foreign students from Tianjin Normal University also received warm applause from the audience.
With the theme song of "Chinese Bridge", 113 contestants from 96 countries entered the venue waving their national flags.
During the kick-off session, the guests and the contestants touched the hand mold wall together, started the journey of realizing their dreams, and lit up the "Answer Sheet of the Times".
Subsequently, the participants moved to the grass outside the venue, and the representatives of the contestants from the five continents and the teachers and students of the Heavenly Master jointly released 8 special paper kite models with the pattern of future dreams, which means "flying dreams and lighting up the future".
The competition is guided by the Ministry of Education and the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, sponsored by the Center for Chinese and Foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, and undertaken by Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, Tianjin Normal University, Tianjin Haihe Media Center, Tianjin Jinyun New Media Group Co., Ltd., Tianjin Satellite TV, and Wuzhou Hanfeng Education Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. The competition highlights the characteristics of "urban walking", takes the whole city as a stage for Chinese application and immersive practice, and allows contestants to experience the history and culture of the city, enter the reality scene of a Chinese-style modern city, and understand the history and culture of contemporary China in the happy competition through the four-in-one form of "real-life study tour + fun game + interactive experience + Chinese competition".
During the competition, the contestants will visit the banks of the Haihe River, Smart Port, National Maritime Museum, Beijiang Museum, Tianjin Normal University, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nankai Middle School, Yueyang Dao Primary School, Tianjin Vocational College of Art, Tianjin Huo Yuanjia School, Tianjin Ancient Culture Street, Wudao, Tianjin Zoo, Ninghe Beautiful Village and other places, and will also walk into Chinese families. This competition will provide opportunities for young people from all over the world to get to know each other, learn from each other and get to know each other, so that young people from all over the world can broaden their horizons, increase their knowledge, make partners and enhance friendship through exchanges.
