In 1942, when the Chinese Expeditionary Force entered Burma to fight, the newly organized 38th Division, commanded by General Sun Liren, was ordered to rescue more than 7,000 British troops, war correspondents and missionaries who were surrounded at NhonYaung. General Sun Liren defeated the enemy several times his own with fewer victories, and after this battle, the general's prestige spread throughout the world, and he was also known as a famous anti-Japanese general.
General Sun Liren's exploits in the War of Resistance Against Japan do not need us to dwell on them too much, and today we will talk about the emotional world of General Sun Liren. According to historical records, General Sun Liren had a total of three wives, two of his three wives remained in Taiwan and one in the mainland.

The first wife, Gong Xitao
General Sun Liren's original wife was named Gong Xitao, and she was originally the sister of Sun Liren's father's brother. Gong Xitao came from a large family and looked beautiful like a flower, which made Sun Liren's father look at it at once. In order to marry Gong Xitao home, Sun Liren's father deliberately retired the post of worshiping his brother and personally made the decision, so that Sun Liren married Gong Xitao.
Sun Liren and Gong Xitao respected each other at the beginning of their marriage, and Gong Xitao was educated and had many common topics with Sun Liren. After Returning from studying in the United States, Sun Liren took an errand with the Nationalist government in Nanjing, when Gong Xitao stayed in his hometown in Anhui to take care of Sun Liren's old father. Sun Liren originally wanted to take Gong Xitao to his side after gaining a foothold in Nanjing, but Sun Liren's father did not agree to his daughter-in-law's uprooting from his hometown, so the two families could not be reunited. After that, the two gradually drifted apart, and Sun Liren, who lived alone in Nanjing, met Zhang Jingying and married Zhang Jingying in 1930.
Sun Liren was injured playing basketball when he was young, which led to him marrying Gong Xitao and not having children. Even so, Gong Xitao still stayed in Sun Liren's hometown to take care of Sun Liren's old father. After the death of Sun Liren's father, Gong Xitao continued to stay in the Sun family to take care of Sun Liren's nephew and niece. After the founding of New China, Gong Xitao took the initiative to stay on the mainland and began to take care of general Sun Liren's nephew. In the 1980s, Gong Xitao died. After Gong Xitao's death, in order to make up for her, General Sun Liren passed the eldest son to her name.
Second wife Zhang Jingying
In 1930, the 30-year-old Sun Liren married 17-year-old Zhang Jingying. Zhang Jingying was originally a middle school student studying in Nanjing, and when she met Sun Liren, she happened to be the age of longing for love, and Sun Liren was a soldier, so it was easy for the little girl to secretly agree. However, the marriage between the two did not receive the blessing of both parents.
Sun Liren and Zhang Jingying got together less and left more after marriage, and Sun Liren was injured when he was young, so the two have not had children. At the end of 1947, Zhang Jingying followed Sun Liren to Taiwan and still had no heirs, and Sun Liren always thought it was his own problem, after all, he was injured when he was young.
However, during a trip, Sun Liren met an old monk who told Sun Liren that he was destined to have four children. Sun Liren did not believe the old monk's words, personally went to the hospital for examination, and after an examination, he found that it was Zhang Jingying who could not get pregnant. Later, Zhang Jingying married a third wife for Sun Liren and passed on the lineage for Sun Liren. In her later years, Zhang Jingying converted to Buddhism and was known as a Qingyang resident. She spent her old age with General Sun Liren, who died in 1992 and was buried in Taiwan.
The third wife, Zhang Meiying
Zhang Meiying was a nurse born in Taiwan, and in 1950, Zhang Jingying, who knew she could not conceive, married a third wife for General Sun Liren, and this daughter was Zhang Meiying. After Zhang Meiying married Sun Liren, she gave birth to four children for Sun Li, namely two men and two women. However, Zhang Meiying's status in the Sun family has not been high, although the child was born to her, but Zhang Jingying stipulates that the child calls herself "mother" and her biological mother Zhang Meiying "aunt". After the death of General Sun Liren, Zhang Meiying continued to live in Taiwan with her children.
