Sun Liren (8 December 1900 – 19 November 1990), courtesy name Fumin, was a Han Chinese from Lujiang, Anhui. He graduated from Tsinghua University and Virginia Military Academy. The Republic of China Army ranked second-class general, served as the commander of the 38th Division during the first Burmese War, killed more than 2,000 enemies in the Battle of Mengguan Jebu Mountain Pass, killed more than 12,000 Japanese troops in the Battle of Menggong River Valley, and served as the commander of the New First Army when he entered Burma in the second operation, conquering Bamo, Nankan, Laolongshan, Nambaka, Xinwei, Lashio, Qiaomei and other places, killing more than 33,000 Japanese troops, which was the general who annihilated the Japanese army the most among the generals of the military-level units in the War of Resistance.
Because he possessed outstanding military ability and impressive military achievements, and was good at commanding mechanized troops, Sun Liren was praised by Western military scientists as the "Eastern Rommel," while Taiwan scholar, current affairs critic, and writer Li Ao commented on him: "General Sun is the most outstanding general in the Kuomintang clique, with profound academic qualifications that no one can match; the quality of military training is unmatched; the high level of combat achievements is unmatched; the number of bullet holes in his body is unmatched; and the height of his international reputation is unmatched." ”

In Sun Liren's love, there was once the sound of Huo Huo's sharpening knife, the knife that was sharpened was a kitchen knife, and the person who sharpened the knife was Zhang Jingying, Sun Liren's second wife.
Zhang Jingying, a native of Hunan, from a wealthy family, when she was studying at Nanjing Huiwen Girls' High School, she met Sun Liren through the introduction of her classmates. After graduating from high school in 1930, he married Sun Liren in Shanghai. 13 years younger than Sun Liren, he met Sun Liren at a dance party, and the two fell in love at first sight. At that time, Sun Liren's hometown had the original Gong Xitao, who wanted to divorce, but was strongly opposed by his family, and Zhang Jingying's mother did not look up to Sun Liren, a junior officer.
The power of love broke through many obstacles, so that Sun Liren and Zhang Jingying were hastily combined without divorcing Gong Xitao.
On August 13, 1937, the Battle of Songhu, one of the largest and most tragic battles of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, broke out, during which Sun Liren, as the colonel's regimental commander, fought a beautiful counterattack. According to the book "Songhu Anti-Japanese War Atlas", on the morning of October 27, Sun Liren's troops discovered a plot by 50 Japanese troops to use rubber boats as a pontoon bridge to smuggle across the Huangpu River. Sun Liren commanded two squad leaders, erected four thick steel plates on the shore as a parapet wall, and threw out hundreds of grenades in succession, blowing up the enemy's leather boats, and the Japanese army was either killed or wounded, leaving nothing left.
The battle was won, but sun Liren inexplicably lost contact with his family, and as the war progressed, Zhang Jingying, who had lost her father since childhood, had to retreat to Changsha with her mother, who was dependent on Jinling City.
Along the way, the remnants of the army were defeated and scarred. Although Zhang Jingying, who grew up in a wealthy family, is 24 years old, she has never seen such blood and cruelty. Along the way, she would always grab the sleeves of the wounded soldiers and inquire about her husband's news: "Do you know that you don't know Sun Liren?" Where did he go..." He kept asking, and all he got was an answer whereabouts unknown.
Eventually, Zhang Jingying and her mother were exiled to an abandoned and dilapidated temple in Changsha. At this time, she still did not forget to stand at the door of the broken temple, calling her husband's name again and again in her heart, and the excitement of the war and sorrow had made her somewhat confused.
Finally, on an evening when night fell, Sun Liren appeared. He saw that Zhang Jingying stood by the door, muttering to himself, in addition to his eyes shining, his whole body was full of unconcealable fatigue and confusion. He whispered bitterly: "Jingying, Jingying..." Zhang Jingying let him stand there empty as if she didn't see him, let alone remember his voice. He rushed forward and hugged Zhang Jingying: "Jingying, it's me, do you see clearly?" Zhang Jingying first broke free from his arms like a rogue, and then turned around, pounced on him, held his face, and cried.
In this way, Sun Liren found his wife and mother-in-law, and that night, they lived together in the broken temple.
It turned out that Sun Liren was seriously injured in that "beautiful counterattack" and was armed with 13 bullets, and after a squad leader named Li Hong gave his life to rescue him, Song Ziwen immediately ordered someone to send him to Hong Kong for treatment. Because he always had Zhang Jingying in mind and always wanted to get in touch with Zhang Jingying, when Sun Liren was just able to walk on the ground in Hong Kong, he thought of looking for Zhang Jingying, his mother-in-law and his soldiers. Subsequently, he distributed part of his money to the soldiers around him, and the remaining small part was used as his own travel expenses to find Changsha.
The wound had not yet healed, Sun Liren quickly fell asleep, Zhang Jingying began to sharpen the knife, and her mother asked her: "What are you going to do?" Zhang Jingying said, "I'm going to cut off his arm so that he can't go to war anymore!" The mother did not know how to stop her daughter, Zhang Jingying said: "I do what I say, if I want to cut it, I will really cut it... Cut it, he will honestly stay by my side! The knife flashed, and the mother advised her daughter: "How can you do this, he is a man who hates the Japanese, can fight with the Japanese on the battlefield, he is willing, even if you cut off his arm, he will not stay by your side!" In this way, although the matter came to an end, Sun Liren did not expect that Zhang Jingying, who could not bear the stimulation of war, would be bent on becoming a monk from now on.
Later facts also developed from Zhang Jingying's side, and in an article "Why I Believe in Buddhism", she had this description: "One night, I inexplicably walked out of the gate and wanted to look at the night view. Originally I thought that this place is also like Shanghai, the night is bright lights, who knows that outside is a dark, a quiet flow of small river, more and more eerie, I am afraid to see such darkness, I quickly ran in, but after a while, I was like a drunken person, crazy to run outside the gate, a habitual cool breeze, like a tulle from my head, I did not feel how, but when I returned to the room, I found my mouth crooked, followed by the mouth spit out a piece of blood, Friends said that the evil wind had blown.
"I exhausted the method of treatment, after the Chinese and Western famous doctors, with the golden circle to hook the mouth, and then with eel blood to apply the face, and then to the hospital to use electric therapy, can not cure this strange disease, even the famous doctors can not even find the pathogen, friends and I are helpless, seeing the face is more distorted, I feel that all thoughts are gray, so I had the idea of suicide, I bought enough death sleeping pills, I do not want to continue to treat, but only want to see my mother's side at the end, immediately take poison."
"A few days later, my mother also came from Nanjing, she was a believer in Buddhism, she saw that my medicine was ineffective, she had to order the whole family to fast for a day, set incense in the courtyard, burn incense and pray, use twenty-one great compassion mantras, ask for a cup of clean water for me to drink, at this time I felt that everything was empty, there was no preconception of attachment, I obeyed my mother's kind orders, I knelt down religiously, and concentrated on the bodhisattva statue in my dream, and swallowed the mantra water, which was the mantra water that I drank in the morning, and in the evening, my mouth came straight. The power of a cup of mantra water heals without medicine, and the inconceivable nature of the Dharma can be known..."
Zhang Jingying, who found a spiritual refuge in the chaotic world, went to Taiwan with Sun Liren, because she could not have children, she took the initiative to "take concubines" for Sun Liren, in order to help Sun Liren pass on the generations. In her later years, she firmly believed in Buddhism, especially after Sun Liren "took concubines", and was known as a Qingyang female layman.
Zhang Jingying had two "concubines" for Sun Liren, the first of whom was called Huang Zheng, also known as Huang Meizhi. Born in Changsha in 1930, he graduated from Jinling Women's University and came to Taiwan Province with his family in 1949.
Huang Zheng was born beautiful, xiuwaihuizhong, and can speak Changsha dialect, Zhang Jingying was very "like" when she first met her, and then arranged for her to be Sun Liren's English secretary.
Sun Liren is 30 years older than Huang Zheng, who was 50 years old when he was his English secretary, and Huang Zheng was only 20 years old. After having that kind of relationship with Sun Liren, Huang Zheng had a deep sense of guilt. It is said that she once raised her pistol and pulled the trigger on her chest, but survived because there was no bullet in the gun, and she did not know that this relationship was the result of Zhang Jingying's planning.
Sun Liren also loved Huang Zheng and helped her take an English name called "Little", but they did not realize Zhang Jingying's wish together. Soon after becoming Sun Liren's English secretary, Huang Zheng was implicated in a political case and was imprisoned. Although Sun Liren interceded for her, it was to no avail. After his release from prison, Huang Zheng changed his name to Huang Meizhi and married an American in 1963 and lived overseas for a long time. It was not until 2010 that the memoir "Beacon Beauty" was published, revealing to the outside world the "extramarital affair" with Sun Liren. [i]
Once unsuccessful, Zhang Jingying came again. Soon, she sexed another woman, Zhang Meiying (Zhang Meiying).
Zhang Meiying's name is somewhat similar to Zhang Jingying, but they are not related by blood. She is a native of Taiwan Province, born in 1928, and is a nurse. Combined with Sun Liren, although she did not have any name, she gave birth to 4 children for Sun Liren successively, so that Sun Liren lived a life of children around his knees after half a hundred years old.
At this time, Zhang Jingying can rest assured that the Buddha is read - after Zhang Meiying and Sun Liren are combined, they never come forward, and the formal occasions that require the presence of his wife are also Zhang Jingying's appearance. Zhang Meiying not only let her child be called Zhang Jingying's mother, but also took good care of Sun Liren, silently paid behind him, and frothed with him.
This is Sun Liren's love experience, after the original match, he married a second wife, and then married two women for the inheritance. Rich, right? Should be satisfied, right? But who would have thought that after the 1980s, Sun Liren began to miss his original partner who stayed on the mainland, Gong Xitao.
Gong Xitao was born in Hefei, a student of Jinan Girls' Normal School, and his marriage to Sun Liren was arranged by Sun Liren's father Sun Xize and his half-brother Gong Jishan. Sun Xize and Gong Jizhi were the same people as Guangxu Tongke, and the two were brothers, and later, Sun Xize pleaded with Gong Jize to match his sister xu with his descendants, and the two no longer regarded themselves as brothers.
In 1919, the 20-year-old Sun Liren married Gong Xitao, although it was an arranged marriage, but the relationship between the two was still harmonious and beautiful after marriage.
In 1923, Sun Liren graduated from Tsinghua University and was immediately admitted to the official fee to stay in the United States. When her husband went abroad, Gong Xitao came to the countryside of Jinniu in Lujiang with Sun Liren's father and began to integrate herself into the life of this big family. The Sun family is a big family, the whole family up and down dozens of people, Gong Xitao is knowledgeable, docile and virtuous, and is deeply loved by them.
In 1928, Sun Liren returned to China and returned to his hometown to visit his relatives, and originally wanted to take Gong Xitao away to live with him, but his elderly father was reluctant to this daughter-in-law, so that he left a lifelong hatred for Gong Xitao.
In 1930, after Sun Liren and Zhang Jingying, who were alone in Nanjing, announced their marriage, Sun Liren's father heard that his son had changed his heart, traveled a long way, and personally went to Shanghai to block it, but he was helpless to cook rice and wood. Back at home, the old man said to Gong Xitao, "Li Ren is sorry for you, but my Sun family only recognizes you as a daughter-in-law!" ”
Of course, Sun Liren, who had a wife outside, did not completely forget Gong Xitao at home. In 1935, when his parents died and his brothers separated, Sun Liren handed over the family property under his name to Gong Xitao to manage, and also asked Gong Xitao to "set up a household at the top of the door" for himself, [i i] and even after liberation, many people who remained in the mainland of the Sun family were cared for by Gong Xitao, who saved the Sun family from danger many times.
In 1990, Sun Liren entrusted the old department Pan Dehui to take his son Sun Anping back to his hometown to worship and sweep the ancestral tomb. At this time, Gong Xitao had been dead for 9 years, and the villagers took Sun Anping to Gong Xitao's grave, and Sun Anping knelt down, prostrated his head, and kept calling "Big Mother". After returning to Taiwan Province, Sun Anping told Sun Liren the truth about what he had seen and heard, and Sun Liren couldn't help but cry when he took a photo of Gong Xitao's grave taken by Sun Anping. What life needs most is to leave some of the most affordable and warm things around, which must not be the sparkle of gold gemstones, but the warmth and simplicity that reach the heart. Sun Liren, who was touched, whimpered and said, "Please write down the date of her birth and death in detail and include it in the yuan matching column under the family tree Liren's name!" ”
The love with rich content suddenly experienced a return to the plain at this time, and some of it returned to the meaning of the original point. A few years later, Sun Liren died of illness at the age of 89 in his taichung apartment. It is said that when he died, most of the time was in a coma, and when he was occasionally awake, he said the deepest feelings in his life, repeatedly, saying the most was his original match Gong Xitao, saying that Gong Xitao was a very cultured girl, who only sacrificed and dedicated himself to the Sun family, and he was most sorry for her in his life.
The wind and waves have passed, and those who should have experienced it have also experienced it, but in the end they cannot resist the hometown and the original "temptation", which may be conscience, right? Sun Liren. Later abundance can only be rich, those things on the origin, who can change it?
