Hurun announced "China's 100 most successful old brands", and Shaanxi Xifeng and Bingfeng were on the list

On October 18, Hurun Research Institute released the "2021 Hurun China's Most Historical and Cultural Brand List", announcing the 100 most successful old brands in China.

Half of these brands were founded more than 100 years ago; 13 were more than 300 years old; and 36 were founded after the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949.

The liquor, traditional Chinese medicine and food industries ranked in the top three, with 20, 17 and 14 respectively, accounting for 50% of the entire list.

The top three are Chinese medicine brand Tongrentang, Guizhou Moutai and Bank of China. The top five also include Zhonghua and Wuliangye, while the top ten also include Shanxi Baijiu brand Fenjiu, Anhui Zhongyan Huangshan brand, Tsingtao Beer, the oldest 644-year-old Shanxi Old Vinegar Yiyuanqing and Southern Medicine representative Chen Liji.

There are 13 new brands in the top 50, followed by Gujing Gong, Chinese Bao, Zhang Xiaoquan, Ding Lu, Yuesheng Zhai, Jinjiang, Chongqing Beer, Langjiu, Zhenyuan, Ziqigong, Guangyuyuan, Dongjiu and Wu Yutai.

There are 14 brands on the list worth hundreds of billions, of which 3 brands in Guizhou Maotai, Wuliangye and Zhonghua are worth trillions. Beijing and Shanghai have the largest number of brands on the list, with 19 and 16 respectively; Sichuan and Zhejiang are tied for third place, with 8 brands each on the list.

Two brands in Shaanxi were on the list, and the newly listed And ranked 59th Xifeng Wine was named in 1956. The newly listed, 98th Bingfeng Beverage, was named in 1953. From a geographical point of view, Xifeng and Bingfeng are located in Baoji and Xi'an respectively.
