Although the wealth of Zhong, 68, of Nongfu Shanquan, has fallen by nearly 100 billion yuan, he is still the richest man in China with 455 billion yuan. Zhang Yiming, 39, of ByteDance, rose from fifth to second in China last year, but his wealth remained unchanged at 340 billion yuan. Zeng Yuqun, 54, rose from 11th to third in China last year, and his wealth increased by more than 100 billion yuan to 335 billion yuan.

Hurun Research Institute today released the "2022 Hurun Global Rich List" (JDYD LIQUOR · Hurun Global Rich List 2022)。 The deadline for calculating the wealth of the listed entrepreneurs is January 14, 2022. This is the eleventh consecutive year that the Hurun Research Institute has released the "Global Rich List".

This year, 3,381 billion-dollar entrepreneurs from 2,558 companies in 69 countries made the list.

The wealth of 2,070 people is higher than last year, and 490 of them are new faces. The wealth of 1279 people is less than last year, and 337 of them have fallen behind. The wealth of 369 people remained unchanged. The average age was 64 years.

Hurun, chairman and chief research officer of Hurun Report, said: "Although the epidemic is not over, coupled with the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war, more than 300 people have fallen on the list this year, equivalent to one person a day, but with the development of the global digital economy, coupled with scientific and technological innovation, and inflation, there are still nearly 500 new people on the list, and the total number of billion-dollar entrepreneurs in the world has hit a record high, reaching nearly 3400 people." ”

"China now has more than 1,100 billion-dollar entrepreneurs, 60 percent more than the United States. Since China surpassed the United States for the first time in 2016, the number of billion-dollar entrepreneurs in the United States has increased by a third, while China has doubled. China has more than a billion-dollar entrepreneurs in the next three countries, the United States, India and the United Kingdom combined. ”

"The entrepreneurs with faster wealth growth this year are mainly from the new energy industry with the favorable 'double carbon' policy, such as Gao Tam Adani of India's Adani Group, Zeng Yuqun of the Ningde era, Luo Liguo of silicone company Hesheng, harold Hamm of continental resources company; the biotechnology industry, such as Ugur Sahin of German vaccine manufacturer BioNTech, Stephen Banser of American vaccine manufacturer Moderna, Xie Liangzhi of Shenzhou Cell; luxury goods industry, such as LVMH's Bernard S. Arnault, Hermès' Bertrand Piage, Chow Tai Fook's Cheng Ka-chun; the semiconductor industry, such as Nvidia's Jen-Hsun Huang, Rockchip's Limin, TSMC's Zhang Zhongmou; the software and services industry, such as Microsoft's Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer, SenseTime's Tang Xiaoou, Oracle's Larry Ellison; the shipping industry, such as Klaus Michael Kuhn of Dexun, and Haifeng's Yang Shaopeng. ”

"The entrepreneurs who have declined more in wealth this year are mainly from China's Internet industry, such as Huang Zheng of Pinduoduo, Ma Huateng of Tencent, Jack Ma of Alibaba, wang Xing of Meituan; the real estate industry, such as Xu Jiayin of Evergrande and Sun Hongbin of Sunac; the education industry, such as Zhang Bangxin of the good future, Chen Xiangdong who learned from whom; the generic drug industry, such as Sun Piaoyang of Hengrui; the e-cigarette industry, such as Wang Ying of Yueke and Chen Zhiping of Simar. There are also Russian entrepreneurs. ”

"A good entrepreneurial ecosystem especially needs exemplary enterprises and entrepreneurs, and the number of exemplary entrepreneurs in Shenzhen surpassed New York for the first time this year after surpassing Hong Kong last year. Now, the top three cities with the most exemplary entrepreneurs in the world are all in China: Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen, and the importance of this entrepreneurial ecosystem cannot be underestimated. ”

"The wealth concentration and economic influence of the entrepreneurs on the list are very high. There are nearly 3,400 billion-dollar entrepreneurs in the world, twice as many as ten years ago; 260 billion-dollar entrepreneurs, which is three times that of ten years ago; 10 hundred billion-dollar entrepreneurs, twice as many as last year, while five years ago there was none. At this rate of growth, I predict that by 2030, there will be more than 8,000 billion dollar entrepreneurs in the world, more than 600 billion dollar entrepreneurs, more than 50 hundred billion dollar entrepreneurs, and the first trillion dollar entrepreneurs. ”

"Chinese make up one-fifth of the world's population, but on this list, Chinese entrepreneurs make up 35 percent of the world. There are more than 60 Chinese entrepreneurs living outside of China, mainly in Southeast Asia, mainly singapore, and others in the United States. ”

"In addition to China and the United States, India has recently grown very fast, and the number of billion-dollar entrepreneurs added in India this year is twice that of the United States, and now the total is more than 200, which is nearly 4 times that of a decade ago, and faster than China's growth rate of less than 2 times that of the United States."

"Philanthropy is completely unable to keep up with the rate of wealth creation. We only saw five entrepreneurs on the list donate more than $1 billion in the most recent year, three of them from China: Meituan Wang Xing, Xiaomi Lei Jun and Anta Ding Shizhong, and two from the United States: Jeff Bezos's ex-wife Mackenzie Scott and the world's richest man Elon Musk. ”

"In the two months since the deadline of January 14 on this year's list, the global stock market has changed dramatically, with the Russo-Ukrainian war, the setback of Chinese stocks, the economic downturn, the Federal Reserve interest rate hikes, the repeated outbreak of the epidemic in China, etc., and the stock prices of many companies have fallen the most since the 2008 financial crisis, and the market values of Pinduoduo, Geely, Meituan, Great Wall Motor and Alibaba have evaporated by one-third to one-half."

"This year we found nearly 3,400 people with wealth of more than a billion dollars, and we think there are more than 5,000 individuals missed, mainly in Saudi Arabia and the Bay Area. There are also some industries, such as virtual currency, investment circles, etc., which also miss more people. ”

"The metacosm has been said a lot, but it has not yet seen a billion-dollar entrepreneur in the field."

"Our Global Rich List tells the story of the world economy through the stories of the world's most successful entrepreneurs." Hurun supplement.
