On April 5, 2022, Forbes released the 2022 Global Billionaires List, showing that due to the impact of last year's global stock market shock, the number of people on the 2022 Forbes Global Billionaires List decreased by 87 places compared with last year, and the total wealth of the listed people fell by 0.4 trillion yuan to 12.7 trillion US dollars year-on-year.
According to the list, Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk topped the list with a wealth of $219 billion; Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, French luxury giant LVMH Group head Bernard Arnold and his family ranked second and third with a wealth of $171 billion and $158 billion, respectively; Bill Gates and Warren Buffett ranked fourth and fifth with $129 billion and $118 billion, respectively.
In addition, Zhong Shuizuo, the founder of Nongfu Spring, ranked 17th with a wealth of US$65.7 billion; Zhang Yiming of ByteDance ranked 25th with a wealth of US$50 billion.
According to Forbes, when calculating the wealth of the listers, the share price of March 11, 2022 is used.
