Since the release of "Sword Star", although many foreign media have criticized it for not being "correct", it has not stopped the game's rating from rising all the way. At the moment, Sword Star has even become the highest-rated PS5 game in the entire generation on Metacritic. Foreign media "Forbes" also commented on the high score of "Sword Star", saying that the reason behind it is caused by "cultural antagonism".
Forbes editor Paul Tassi said that while I said last time I wasn't jealous of the game's high user ratings, this is ...... It's a bit excessive. I really like this game. It's so much fun and deserves a solid 8/10 and I've enjoyed it so much that I've been playing it for 50 hours and am doing "New Game +" and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way.
However, I have to admit that some of this is due to the "cultural antagonism" factor here, with a portion of the voting crowd giving it a 10 for the unabashedly sexy character it represents as its protagonist, and some players don't think enough of such characters are seen in the game these days (don't let me list a long list of examples to prove this incorrect).
Again, this is a very good game and it deserves a high score. However, part of the reason is that some users are trying to take revenge on critics (the media) and try to see it as a victory over the "woke" journalists or other developers in the industry. We'll see if those numbers can be held up in the long term.
