Google mistakenly pushed Philippine storm alerts to a large number of Pixel users

For example, Google recently issued a warning to Pixel mobile phone users about the impending dangerous storm in the Philippines.

The problem is, though, that most of the people who receive this Pixel alert don't live near the Philippines. AndroidAuthority said its editor Eric Zeman also received the alert this morning, while he lives in New Jersey.

In a Reddit post, a large number of Pixel phone users said they received the alert. @LAU37, an IT home user, said that his Pixel phone also received the reminder, while Crisis Alert was not activated in China.

Apparently, google sent the alert message by mistake. As of press time, Google has not responded to this.
