From December 26th to 27th, the concert "Symphonic Rock Bach Universe" will be staged at the Guangzhou Opera House. Internationally renowned conductor Tan Dun will join hands with China's famous original ecological rock band Hang Gai, Liu Wenwen, a performer of Cao Na and the Changsha Symphony Orchestra, to share the "Symphonic Rock Bach Universe" of "World Ecology and Beautiful China" with Yangcheng music fans through the time-space dialogue between original ecological music and "father of classical" Bach.
Tan Dun teamed up with Hangai Rock Band to create the "symphonic rock" art form: a dialogue between symphony and rock, rather than mutual accompaniment. Tan Dun has always had Bach's "musical spirit" plot, symphonic rock with the overture "Bach Universe" to open the concert, in the overture Tan Dun to Bach's name B-A-C-H these four tones as the theme of variations, by Hume and symphony orchestra around B-A-C-H to improvise, variations, so that the four tones of BACH gradually developed into a cosmic sound field with animism, heaven and earth reincarnation. At the same time, Tan Dun has adapted a number of classic works of hanggai bands, such as "Shanghai Semiconductor" and "Bach Reincarnation", etc., realizing the dialogue between classical and rock through time and space.
Another special theme of this concert is "Listening to Nature, Protecting Nature". In Tan Dun's view, in the current fragmented world affected by the epidemic, long-isolated human beings need to "re-embrace, re-integrate, and re-melt" with nature, and communication and connection seem to be more precious than ever. Therefore, at such a special moment, the awareness of protecting nature should be valued by everyone.
During the concert, a number of ecological and technological musical dialogues, such as the digital animation music film "Bach Future", the mobile phone symphonic poem "Wind and Birds", the famous song "Birds and Phoenixes", and Tan Dun's combination of Bach's prelude in C major with the familiar birthday song, all called on everyone to care for nature and learn to live in harmony with the environment. Hanggai Band's "Rising Sun", "Beautiful Grassland My Home", "Flower Zebra", "Wine Song", "Hongyan", "Higg Past" and other songs bring the sunshine, mountains and rivers, grasslands on the prairie to the stage with the joy of wine.
