The 2021 Hebei Youth Archery Championship was recently held at the Hebei Provincial Gymnasium. The Shijiazhuang team won 10 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze, ranking first in the gold medal list.
The event was hosted by the Sports Bureau of Hebei Province, and hosted by Hebei Shooting and Archery Sports Center and Hebei Shooting and Archery Association. There are 9 prefectures and cities, 2 associations and teams participating, with a total of more than 200 athletes, and the projects are divided into recurve bow projects, composite bow projects, and team and mixed team competitions, a total of 27 sub-events.
This competition is the largest and high-level youth indoor archery competition in Hebei in recent years, and it is also a key event in our province this year. Since the opening of archery projects in our province in 2018, the scale of participation has gradually grown, and various competitions have increased significantly. One athlete has achieved the international athlete technical level, 8 athletes have achieved the athlete technical level, nearly 100 people have reached the level of first-class athletes, and many athletes have been sent to the national team for training.
Liu Zhibin, head coach of the Shijiazhuang archery team, introduced that this is the third provincial-level event in Hebei this year, and it is also an indoor competition that meets the standards of the grade. A total of 28 people from the Shijiazhuang team competed, and they played well, winning 10 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze, and 5 of them reached the level of first-class athletes. Liu Zhibin said: "Next, we must do a good job in winter training and achieve good results at the provincial games in Handan next year. ”
