The Southern Tomb of Empress Bo is about 2,000 meters away from the Jiangcun Tomb, which is a high-grade tomb in the shape of "Ya". Around the 25-meter-high enclosure, there are 20 outer pits, the longest of which is 56 meters. Archaeologists have also discovered more than 380 small outer pits about 200 meters northwest of the sealed soil.

During the excavation of some of the outer pits of Empress Bo's Southern Tomb, archaeologists found a large number of gold and silver jewelry, painted pottery figurines, gold and silver copper carriage and horse ware, etc. According to Zhang Wanwan, assistant researcher of the Xi'an Institute of Cultural Relics Protection and Archaeology, some gold jewelry is printed with animal images such as horses and bears, as well as exotic ornaments, which proves that in the Western Han Dynasty, the agricultural civilization of the Central Plains and the nomadic civilization of the grassland had exchanged and integrated, reflecting the historical development trend of Chinese civilization from "pluralism" to "integration".
