Why do people have insomnia and dreams?

Chinese medicine believes that "yang enters the yin and sleeps, and yang comes out of the yin and sleeps", falling asleep is the process of yang qi lurking in the body, and waking up is the process of yang qi turning from the body to the outside of the body. Under normal circumstances, friends with insufficient yang qi are easy to drowsiness, and friends who are strong in yang qi are energetic and do not drowsy. When there is a pathological condition in the body, and the process of yang qi lurking in the body is blocked, insomnia, dreams, etc. will occur. Mainly related to the following aspects:

Emotional factors. Emotions and dreams are related, as the saying goes, "day to think, night to dream", such as after the day after anger and anger, it is easy to dream about things that make people angry at night.

Physical factors. People who are yin and yin, or who feel yin and evil, or who have a phlegm wet constitution, are prone to dream scenes such as swimming in the water. People who are full of yang, or feel the evil of yang and heat, are prone to dream of being in a hot environment, and even feel like a fire. People who are seriously ill, chronically ill or old and physically weak, have weak righteous qi and have no one to rely on, resulting in easy dreams; and external evils are easy to invade the human body, resulting in dysfunction of the internal organs, poor qi machine, and many dreams.

Dietary factors. "Stomach disharmony is restless", some people eat too much at night and are prone to dreaming, this is because after eating enough, the blood of the whole body will be given priority to the spleen and stomach to complete the function of digestion and absorption, resulting in a decrease in the blood that provides the mind and the occurrence of dreams. There are also some people who like to drink cold drinks and eat cold food, resulting in impaired spleen and stomach function, weakened transportation function, insufficient source of qi and blood biochemistry, so that the mind is out of health and dreams; or after the spleen and stomach transportation function is reduced, the phlegm stops wet and gathers in the body, depressed and hot, sputum heat disturbs the mind, resulting in uneasiness and god's lack of vigilance.

Sleeping medicinal food, according to the person prescription

There are many products on the market for many dreams, which mostly contain sour jujube kernels, poria, lilies and other chinese medicines that help the spirit of sleep, some people feel that the effect is good after use, but some people use it ineffectively. This is because, although the symptoms are the same, the causes and mechanisms are different.

For example, sour jujube kernels can nourish the heart and calm the nerves, sweat, mainly used for the treatment of heart and liver blood deficiency, fatigue and insomnia and other multi-dream evidence; Poria can strengthen the spleen, calm the nerves, water leakage, mostly used for heart and spleen deficiency, insufficient qi and blood caused by multiple dreams; lily has the effect of clearing the heart and calming the nerves, moisturizing the lungs and coughing, and is generally used for false panic, insomnia and dreams.

Goji berry longan tea: take 5 grams of goji berries, 3 grams of longan meat, 3 grams of green tea, and an appropriate amount of rock sugar, and use a health pot to decoct the goji berries and longan meat for about 1 hour until the liquid is concentrated to 300 ml. This method can nourish the kidneys and calm the mind, and is suitable for those who have insufficient sperm and blood leading to palpitations, insomnia, and dreams. Spleen deficiency, wet, easy to fire people use with caution, diabetic patients should not add rock sugar.

Ginger drink: Take 5 grams of dried ginger, 5 grams of Cang shu, 5 grams of tangerine peel, brew with 250 ml of boiling water or simmer the above drugs for 1 hour. Ginger drink can be dry and wet spleen, suitable for spleen deficiency and wetness, phlegm wet and prosperous caused by dizziness, insomnia, dreams and other symptoms, yin deficiency with caution.
