On the evening of December 16, Guangqi Honda's new compact sedan, the model, was officially launched. A total of six models were launched, priced at CNY 129,900-CNY 166,900. The new car can be regarded as the sister model of Dongfeng Honda Civic, which is equipped with a 1.5T high-power engine and provides a manual version of the model, allowing consumers to have more diversified choices.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts a design language similar to that of the new generation Civic, but there are some adjustments in some details. The new car's grille dimensions became larger, with a black honeycomb-like mid-mesh inside, narrow headlights on both sides adding a folding angle near the grille, and a more aggressive upper part of the front than the new Civic. In the lower part of the front, the size of the air intake opening of the new car has been reduced, and the black trim on both sides is also more convergent.
The side design of the new car is basically the same as that of the Civic, and the slip-on design further enhances the sporty feeling of the new car. At the same time, the new car also blackened the rearview mirror shell and door handles, with five-spoke two-color wheels, more fashionable. At the rear of the car, the new car's inverted L-shaped taillights are also more dynamic, and the tail cap end is upturned and the exhaust layout of the bottom side is also two out, which also enhances the overall sense of movement.
In terms of interior, the design of the new car is basically consistent with the Civic, equipped with LCD instruments and suspended central control screens, and the air conditioning outlet position uses a penetrating honeycomb chrome trim decoration, which effectively enhances the exquisite sense of the car. The overall atmosphere in the car is still a stable and homely style, which is also in line with its positioning of focusing on home users.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a 1.5T high-power turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 182 horsepower and a peak torque of 243 Nm. It is worth noting that the new car will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission to meet the needs of consumers who pursue driving pleasure. Of course, automatic models equipped with CVT continuously variable transmissions will not be absent.
