United have allowed assistant coach Kieran McKenna to negotiate with League One's Ipswich A, who will be the team's new manager. This will be the second Ole Gunnar Solskjaer coaching staff member to leave after Carrick.

The Manchester Evening News revealed that mcKenna, 35, after receiving an invitation from Ipswich, made it clear to Manchester United that he wanted to coach alone. The club, also adult beauty, agreed to his negotiations with Ipswich. The Athletic report said the negotiations between the two sides were progressing smoothly and that an agreement was reached quickly to complete the official announcement.

Manchester United interim manager Ronnick did not obstruct the news and wished McKenna a successful coaching. While the German boss had had a pleasant partnership with McKenna for the previous two weeks, he fully understood the idea of a coach wanting to fly solo. McKenna sat next to Ronnick in United's 1-0 win over Norwich.

McKenna joined Manchester United from Tottenham Hotspur, first as youth manager, and was promoted to the first team coaching staff by Mourinho in 2018 and has been working ever since. After McKenna left the team, although Lonnick has hired a new assistant coach Chris Armas, he will definitely find a new coach to join the team.

And McKenna is not travelling to Ipswich City alone, he will also bring another Manchester United coach – Martin Pett, a 44-year-old fitness specialist.

McKenna has publicly confirmed his departure and thanked Ronnick for his understanding. "It's been a great honour to work for Manchester United for the last 5 years." McKenna said, "In 2016, I joined as the manager of the under-18 youth team and had the privilege of working for the world's leading youth system, nurturing outstanding talents in a wonderful environment. I will always be grateful to Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, I have learned a lot in these 4 years and it is an honor to be a member of the coaching staff. I also have to thank Lonnick, although we have worked together for a short time, I really enjoy the job and I appreciate his understanding of my choice."

Ipswich is currently only 12th in League One and on why he chose to leave Manchester United, McKenna explained: "From the beginning of my coaching career, the ultimate goal was to become manager, and now I have a great opportunity at Ipswich, an amazing club with an extraordinary history. I would like to thank the Manchester United staff and players I have worked with over the years and, of course, I wish Ronnick and this incredible club every success in the future."

Manchester United's football director John Mertav also blessed McKenna: "Keelong (McKenna) was a talented coach who left a legacy of his time at the club. Contributed to the development of young players under the age of 18, who later entered the first team. After that, he also joined the first team coaching group, where his detailed approach and unremitting efforts were recognized and valued. Now he has the opportunity to go down his own path as manager and everyone at Manchester United wishes him all the best."
