In order to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, implement the decisions and arrangements of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on green and low-carbon development, and give full play to the exemplary and leading role of public institutions in the green and low-carbon development of the whole society, on the occasion of the National Low Carbon Day on May 15, 2024 and the Energy Conservation Publicity Month of Henan Public Institutions, the following initiatives are issued to public institutions and cadres and employees in the whole region:
Energy saving and carbon reduction, and planting the concept of green and low-carbon
Learn and comprehend General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition that "green development is the background color of high-quality development, and new quality productivity itself is green productivity", break the situation ideologically, continuously improve green and low-carbon awareness, grasp the synergistic relationship between green and low-carbon development and better development of undertakings, and be more accustomed to living a tight life, consciously apply the green and low-carbon concept throughout the whole process of work and life, and steadily promote the green and low-carbon transformation of public institutions.
Energy saving has me, develop a comprehensive saving habit
Advocate a simple, moderate, green and energy-saving lifestyle and office concept, strengthen the responsibility of "energy conservation has me", and jointly create a social atmosphere of green development and advocating conservation. Consciously be a practitioner and communicator of green and low-carbon life, make full use of natural light, set the temperature of indoor air conditioning not lower than 26 degrees Celsius in summer, and turn off computers, air conditioners, and lights after work. Rational use of water resources, and actively practice the use of one water for multiple purposes. Consciously save food, oppose food waste, insist on taking less frequently, and practice the "disc action". Do a good job in the classification of domestic waste, take the lead in stopping the use of non-degradable disposable plastic products, and promote the recycling and efficient use of resources. Adhere to green office, avoid the use of disposable office supplies, and promote paperless office, double-sided printing and copying. Actively choose green travel and public transportation, and actively practice the "135" green travel mode.
Take the lead in setting an example and play a leading role
The majority of cadres and workers should take the lead in setting an example, effectively enhance the sense of responsibility for resource conservation, take the lead in spreading the idea of ecological civilization and the concept of green development, and drive the people around them to do a good job in the things around them, jointly create a social atmosphere of green development and advocating conservation, continuously expand the "circle of friends" of green and low-carbon life, and promote the formation of green and low-carbon production and lifestyle in the whole society.
