In the early 1950s, Chiang Kai-shek's Kuomintang regime, which had defeated Taiwan, was in a state of flux. The scattered soldiers, whose living environment was extremely harsh, engaged in the business of robbing their homes and houses, so much so that even Jiang Weiguo, who was the commander of the armored corps of Taiwan's Kuomintang major general, was in danger twice. It highlighted Taiwan's poor living and public security environment at that time.
One day in 1955, Jiang Weiguo wanted to go from Taipei to Taichung on business. Due to the tight time, Jiang Weiguo did not return to the barracks, but let the driver drive directly in the luxury car of the old man Shi Fengxiang. It was also a coincidence that Jiang Weiguo, who had never carried a gun out, did not know which tendon was wrong, so Xu Hong, the driver and guard, brought a pistol and a carbine to the car, and it was loaded with bullets.
Jiang Weiguo's car reached the mouth of a culvert in Tongluo Mountain, and a military truck in front of him blocked the way. The culvert was narrow enough to accommodate only one car to pass, so Xu Hong stopped the car and waited for the truck in front of him to pass first. Jiang Weiguo opened the window to breathe, and vaguely heard someone on the truck in front of him say, "Fat." The driver Xu Hong did not have any reaction, but Jiang Weiguo was surprised to hear this sentence, which was a popular black language in Taiwan at that time, which meant that they were rich in this car, and planned to rob. Before Jiang Weiguo could start their car to escape, seven or eight people jumped off the military truck and wrapped them around.
"Turn on the high beam!" Jiang Weiguo shouted, and then shunshi grabbed the carbine and pistol in the car and quickly loaded it. Under the illumination of the high beams, the soldiers who were robbing were clearly seen by Jiang Weiguo and the driver. Jiang Weiguo held a pistol, Xu Hong held a carbine, and the two got out of the car one left and one right, pulling the bolt of the gun hard toward the bandits. The bandits were all veterans, and when they heard the loading of the carbine, they were too frightened to move, and they were wrapped in dumplings by Jiang Weiguo and the two of them. One day in 1956, Jiang Weiguo drove a civilian jeep to run errands outside. When passing through Hengyang Street, misfortune descended from heaven. A military vehicle with a "Ministry of National Defense" sign chased after Jiang Weiguo and forced his jeep to stop on the sidewalk of Hengyang Street. An officer with the rank of lieutenant colonel on the military vehicle said to his driver in a menacing manner, go down and beat him, beat him fiercely. The driver was very obedient, and after getting out of the car, he directly came over and pulled Jiang Weiguo's car door, intending to beat Jiang Weiguo.
Jiang Weiguo's eyes were fast, and when this stupid driver reached into the car window, he violently grabbed the driver's hand and pressed down, and the driver "snapped" on the ground under the action of inertia, screaming in pain. The lieutenant colonel on the military vehicle also wanted to come forward to help, and when he saw that it was Jiang Ergongzi, he was like a deflated leather ball in an instant, staying in the same place stunned. Jiang Weiguo did not embarrass these two people, but confiscated their military identification Peugeot and let them explain to their superiors themselves. Later, the two men actually reported the incident to Wang Yunong, director of the General Affairs Department of Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense, with the intention of returning their soldiers to identify Peugeot. Even if Jiang Weiguo was a generous person, he did not give these two people small shoes to wear, so after these two people received certain punishments, they did not lose their military rank. If you encounter a demon king like Jiang Xiaowen, you may be killed on the spot, and you will not even receive a pension.
Some people may say that it is not the soldiers who throw up fights and make a fuss. However, judging from the living environment in Taiwan at that time, these soldiers did not simply beat people and play with prestige, but obtained compensation by provoking incidents, which was not uncommon in Taiwan at that time.

Even the second-ranking generals Sun Lianzhong and Pang Bingxun had to open their own restaurants to support their families, and those low-ranking officers and their families could only stay in the villages and earn a meager income through hard work to support their families.
