Carrying a pot helmet steamed bun to school

Those students who went to school in the 70s and 80s have a common memory, that is, most of them have the habit of going to school with steamed buns. I spent a few years of my high school life carrying steamed buns.

Every Saturday after noon, in order to save money, most of the students do not eat lunch, and after packing up, they walk home together. The school is more than twenty miles away from the village, and after walking this journey, I am basically hungry, telling some anecdotes and jokes on the way, in order to dilute the hunger in my stomach and the fatigue of walking. Back at home, he devoured two large bowls of noodles rolled by his mother, which was so comfortable that it was indescribable. To this day, going to various banquets and eating raw seafood always feels less delicious than the noodles that were unique to the Saturday meal that year.

On Sunday afternoon, it was time to go back to school again, and my mother carefully cut the pot and steamed buns that had been baked at noon into pieces and packed them in a cloth pocket. When her mother cut the pot helmet, the sister on the side looked at her with hungry eyes, and her mother only gave her a small piece. On the way back to school, a few of our classmates would show off their steamed buns to each other, and then they would exchange and taste their own buns. For a few years, I have always been relatively proud, because my mother's pan of pretzels and steamed steamed and tender, it is very refreshing to eat, and everyone likes to eat steamed buns with me.

After arriving at school, we must find a high place to hang the steamed bun, because there are rats in the dormitory, and it will steal our rations, and when the rats eat the steamed buns, they must break the piece of the steamed buns they have chewed, for fear of infecting the bacteria. Therefore, most people set a nail on the top bed board and use it to hang the steamed bun. In this way, our steamed bun is relatively safe. In fact, the rats at that time were also very powerful, waiting for us to go back after the evening self-study, washing, the lights in the dormitory were turned off, after going to bed, at this time, the rats were out of action, climbed over our quilts, and then, "jumped" against the steamed bun pockets, as if they were high jumpers. Just lay down, we haven't fallen asleep yet, and we will catch the rats in bed, but when we fall asleep, we don't know anything. The next day, occasionally you will find that the cloth pocket has been torn by the rat, or there are steamed buns that have been "scourgeed" by the rats, which makes the popularity, but there is really no way.

Many relatives will always say when they see me: You are not going to go to college, and you are sorry that your mother has given you steamed bread every week. This sentence also became a motivating force for my progress. Those pots and pans that can have two cars are the hardest core spiritual support on my way to school!

The defeat of the college entrance examination that year made me very upset, but the degree of remorse could not offset the shame of my mother's hard work, and this remorse has always hung in my heart and become an eternal pain in my heart. Seeing the pot and steamed buns at dinner to this day always reminds me of my school days, and I always think of my mother's toil in the kitchen.

In the past few years of high school, I have been accompanied by the steamed buns of my mother, and the pot helmet, which has no substitute in my memory, is forever anchored in the softest place in my heart. Nowadays, my mother's body is old, she can no longer brand that kind of delicious pot helmet steamed buns, every time I go home to see her aging day by day, let me think of the pot helmet buns I ate in school again and again, let me sigh.
