The report shows that in 2021, the actual sales revenue of China's game market was 296.513 billion yuan, an increase of 17.826 billion yuan over last year, an increase of 6.4% year-on-year. The scale of domestic game users was 666 million, an increase of 0.22% year-on-year, and the number of users was gradually saturated.

On the morning of the 16th, at the annual conference of the Chinese game industry, Sun Shoushan, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the China Audio-Visual and Digital Publishing Association, said in his speech: "Health, orderliness and standardization are the foundation and source of the growth of the game industry. Only by comprehensively promoting the protection of minors and implementing the primary task of preventing addiction can we talk about development and efficiency. ”

The official launch of the national real-name authentication platform and the improvement of the industry standard system have promoted the continuous upgrading of the means of protection of minors. With the implementation of new anti-addiction regulations and the gradual deepening of the protection of minors, the domestic game user structure will further become healthy and reasonable.

On September 23 this year, the China Audiovisual and Digital Publishing Association issued the Convention on Anti-Addiction Self-Discipline in the Online Game Industry (hereinafter referred to as the Convention) to further strengthen the awareness of rectification in the game industry. Domestic game enterprises actively responded to the call and spontaneously signed the Convention, and 411 enterprises have voluntarily fulfilled the requirements. The survey results carried out by the Game Working Committee of the China Music and Digital Association show that all types of products of the surveyed enterprises have been connected to the anti-addiction real-name authentication system; more than 95% of the products of the head and shoulder enterprises have added game age-appropriate tips; and the enterprises have actively cooperated with the anti-addiction reporting platform to carry out self-examination and self-correction, with obvious results.

At this year's annual meeting, a number of game companies reported on the implementation of the requirements of the new regulations on the protection of minors and the results achieved in the near future, and put forward in-depth thinking on the protection of minors online.
