He was originally from Dalian, he studied in private school for a few years in his early years, and after his father's death, he and several brothers and sisters followed his mother to live a difficult life, and when he grew up, he desperately wanted to change the fate of poverty, and he partnered with people to do business three times, but the result ended in failure.
During the Sino-Japanese War, he ushered in a turning point in his life, because at this time he met a Japanese agent. With the help of this Japanese agent, he once again had start-up capital to do business. In 1901, Zhang Benzheng chartered two Japanese merchant ships to trade at sea between Yantai and Dalian, and the Japanese asked him to help transport various military supplies. At the same time, he did not help the Japanese to pass on information, so he gradually gained the trust of the other party, and the business became bigger and bigger.
After the Japanese conquered the northeast, Zhang Benzheng became a famous rich man here, and he set up the Zhengji Steamship Company in Yantai, which was the first in North China at that time. In addition to the superficial business of commerce, his biggest hidden task was to help the Japanese deliver strategic materials, which were eventually used to destroy our compatriots, so his role in the war of aggression against China was a complete traitor. In order to repay the Japanese for taking care of him in business, he also donated 40 planes to the Japanese with some merchants, and was received by the emperor.
After the end of World War II, Zhang Benzheng was originally going to change to the then Nationalist government, but unfortunately his crimes were too bad, so the whitewashing was not successful, and he was sentenced to 12 years in prison, although he later fled to various places under medical parole, he was finally arrested on June 10, 1951, and then executed by the people, which drew the end of his career as a traitor.
