Wuyang-Honda launched the CB series of medium-exhaust models CB400X adventure car, CB400F sports street car this year, the two models in the domestic suggested retail price of 42,500 yuan (CB400X standard version), 48,500 yuan (standard with side boxes, tail boxes and body guards and other equipment of the CB400X motorcycle version) and 39,000 yuan (CB400F).
In overseas markets, the global model of the midweight two-cylinder CB platform is the CB500 series, not the 400, which generally has three different models: the CB500X for the Adventure, the CB500F for the street car, and the CBR500R for the sports car. After inquiry, the last version of the localization of the 400 platform, the CBR400R of the sports car model, is also expected to go on sale next year. In terms of version, it is believed that it will be the same period of platform as the CB400X and CB400F listed this year.
Note: The domestic version of the CB400X, in terms of configuration, is the same as the Japanese version of the 2019' 400X (2BL-NC56. The Native Japanese Version did not use the name CB400X, but instead used 400X. This generation of 400X, CBR400R Japanese version was first released on January 29, 2019, and uses the same VIN identification code/factory number) closer.
In terms of price, considering some pricing rules of similar products in overseas markets, it is expected that the suggested retail price of the new CBR400R in China will be slightly lower than the 42,500 yuan of the Adventure Edition.
Compared to the globally sold 500 platform, the 400 platform is mainly supplied to the Japanese domestic market, and the models of the 400 platform are now produced by Honda's workshop in Japan, rather than being assembled in Southeast Asia, as is the case with the 500 platform. The difference between the two platforms in terms of power unit is the displacement: the 500 platform has an exhaust volume of 471 cc (bore, stroke of 67 mm x 66.8 mm), while the 400 platform has an exhaust volume of 399 cc (bore, stroke of 67 mm x 56.6 mm).
On September 1, the 500 platform launched a new generation of products, the configuration of the body has been upgraded a lot, and the appearance and shape have also been updated. By the beginning of this month, the new Japanese version of the 400 series corresponding to the 500 platform was also announced - only the 400X and CBR400R models, which were also equipped with inverted forks and lighter front and rear wheel frames. However, the VIN identification code/factory number of the NC56 is still used: the new VIN identification code/factory number is 8BL-NC56, and the factory number of the engine is still NC56E, which may mean that the new 400X and CBR400R, which will officially appear on the Japanese domestic market in January next year, are only medium-term improvements on the basis of this generation of 2019 models.

In April 2013, the company introduced a new-age CB mid-size car series to the local market, and the first launch included a "full set" of three models: CB400F, 400X, CBR400R. All three models have the same VIN identification code/factory number: EBL-NC47 and engine number NC47E. By February 2016, the mid-range improvement CBR400R was released with a VIN identification code/factory number of 2BL-NC47.
By January 2019, the new generation of CBR400R and 400X of the current model was released, and the VIN identification code/factory number was the above 2BL-NC56.

For old car fans, when it comes to the CBR400R, the most impressive and influential is of course the NC23 and NC29 equipped with inline four-cylinder engines. Regarding these versions, they have been introduced many times before, so they will not be described much.
