On December 16, TSMC today presented the "2021 Quality Supplier" award to 13 suppliers. TSMC said it would like to thank its global supplier partners for assisting TSMC in smoothly carrying out its expansion plan and establishing a global base under the continued severe challenges of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, and jointly contributing to the development of the semiconductor industry and manufacturing excellence.
In response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, TSMC said that through close digital communication, it will continue to work closely with suppliers of equipment, raw materials, packaging, testing, factory affairs, information systems, environmental protection and waste disposal in the semiconductor industry to synergistically improve cutting-edge technical capabilities, overcome the challenges faced by technology and supply needs, and complete related goals.
TSMC stressed that as a global semiconductor company, it should also shoulder its due corporate responsibility. In addition to being the world's first semiconductor company to join THE RE100, TSMC also responded to the net zero emissions action, announcing that it will achieve the net zero emissions target by 2050 and issuing a climate-related financial disclosure (TCFD) report, hoping to expand its green impact and drive the industry towards a low-carbon supply chain. At the same time, TSMC hopes to work with its supplier partners to implement environmental sustainability goals with practical actions.
"In 2021, the global supply chain is facing various challenges, and TSMC has successfully carried out its expansion plans at home and abroad in cooperation with its supplier partners, said. In the future, TSMC will continue to grow together with global supplier partners to build a sustainable supply chain. ”
