■ Press: Is the smart blender worth getting started?
Recently, the Nanjing Consumers Association announced the results of a comparative test of 20 smart blenders sold on the market.
The results showed that among the 20 samples, all the blenders with stainless steel liner as cooking containers had the phenomenon of sticking pans and not easy to clean; the energy-saving effect of 20 samples had certain differences and the overall performance was poor; the cooking performance of 20 intelligent blenders was significantly different; and the shell temperature rise was generally higher when 16 samples were used.
Sample condition
A total of 20 samples sold on the market were selected in this comparative test, and the unit price ranged from 799 yuan to 12180 yuan. The 20 smart blenders all claim to be healthy without fumes or less fumes, 12 have similar words such as easy to clean in promotional messages, and many products are explicitly fried evenly and have high thermal efficiency.

Reference Basis
Since the intelligent blender belongs to the emerging household appliances, there is no special performance test national standard in China, in order to make the comparative test more scientific and objective, this evaluation as far as possible with reference to the test method in similar product standards.
Cleaning performance

Stickiness is a test of whether the cooking container of the smart blender is easy to adhere to the ingredients during daily cooking. The pretreated cooking container is placed in the oven at a temperature of (150±10) °C, 1h after taking out and quickly knocking a fresh raw egg open and poured into the bottom of the cooking container, when the egg whites are basically solidified, remove the eggs with a non-metallic spatula, and observe whether the surface of the cooking container adheres to the residue.
The results of the stickiness test showed that the cooking containers of 7 samples did not adhere to the residue after the stickiness test, and the remaining 13 samples had different degrees of protein adhesion to the bottom of the pot, and the non-stick coating of the inner tank adhesion was significantly better than that of the stainless steel liner.
The easy-to-disassemble cleanliness test in this comparative test is to put out the dishes after the fume control effect test, check the situation inside the cooking container, and remove the cooking parts to simulate cleaning after normal use.
The results of the easy-to-disassemble and clean test show that of the 20 samples, only 5 samples can clean the cooking parts easily and quickly, 4 samples have the phenomenon of pasting at the bottom of the cooking container, and the stirring rods of 8 samples need to be disassembled with the help of tools to clean the bottom of the pot.

It is worth noting that the test also found that the smart blender products have phenomena such as confusing labeling and exaggerated publicity. For example, 12 products have the words non-stick pan, non-paste pan, easy to clean, etc. on the webpage, outer packaging or instructions, but only 5 samples in the actual test can easily and quickly clean the cooking container.
Cooking performance
5 sample stir-frying uniformity less than 70%
This review evaluates the homogeneity of the stir-frying samples by firing the same amount of chunky potatoes of the same size and calculating the final ingredient dyeing rate.
The results of the stir-frying uniformity test show that the difference in the stir-frying performance of 20 samples is very significant, with 8 samples having a stir-fry uniformity of more than 95%, 5 samples below 70%, the best 8# samples with all potatoes colored uniformly, and the worst 19# samples with only half of the ingredients fully colored.

This review evaluates the quality of the fume control effect by comparing the amount of fumes generated by 20 smart blenders after firing the same dish.
The test results of the fume control effect show that a total of 11 samples produced more than 0.5g of fumes, accounting for more than half. More than one-third of the blenders produce more than 1g of fumes, which is much higher than the limit on the amount of fumes generated by smart cooking in the T/CAS 332-2019 "Technical Specification for the Evaluation of the Intelligent Level of Household Cooking Machines".
Energy saving effect
There were certain differences in the 20 samples, and the overall performance was not good
Thermal efficiency is to reflect the efficiency of the intelligent blender in the work of the power consumed to effectively transfer to the processed ingredients, is one of the energy saving indicators, the higher the thermal efficiency means the higher the power usage rate, but also relatively more power saving.
The test results show that only 9 of the 20 samples have a thermal efficiency greater than 80%, and the energy efficiency of more than half of the samples is far below the energy saving requirements. Among them, the highest thermal efficiency is the 20# sample, up to 94.5%, compared to the lowest 3# sample, the thermal efficiency is less than one-third.
Standby power is also an important indicator to assess the energy-saving performance of intelligent blender, it represents the power silently consumed when plugged into the power supply but static and not working, the smaller the standby power, the more energy-saving.
The test results show that only 4 samples have a standby power of less than 2W, and many models exceed 5W, which is far below the requirements of the energy-saving index of the induction cooker. And the standby power of the sample with wifi function is significantly greater than that of other samples.
Taking the LONDON FOG sample with the largest test data as an example, standby consumes nearly 5 kWh of electricity a month, and the power consumption is amazing, and many home appliances with energy efficiency standards must not have a standby power greater than 2W.
Security performance
The 16 sample housings are more seriously heated
Temperature rise test has always been an important item in the safety requirements of household appliances, and if the temperature rise is too high, it may cause overheating damage to the human body.
The temperature rise test results show that the heating of the sample shell is more serious, the temperature appreciation of 16 models exceeds 60K, only ACA, SEMIKRON, a piece of cake, TOKIT samples in the heating process touch the shell without obvious burning sensation.
In this evaluation, all samples work under the maximum power file, and after stabilization, the radiation value of the four directions (front and back and left and right) of the fuselage is measured with an electromagnetic radiation tester, and the maximum value is taken as the final result.
The electromagnetic radiation test results show that the radiation value of different brands of blenders varies greatly, and the electromagnetic radiation value of samples using IH electromagnetic heating is significantly higher than that of other samples. However, by changing the distance of the test, the electromagnetic radiation value drops rapidly, and the test value of all samples at a distance of 30 cm has been completely below the limit of the public safety standard.

How "smart" is the smart blender, and is it as smart and easy to operate as advertised by the merchant?
This evaluation refers to the evaluation method of intelligent functions in the "Technical Specifications for the Evaluation of intelligent level of household cooking machines", and selects 5 functions related to "delicious and easy to use" for evaluation.
The test results show that all 20 samples have custom cooking functions, that is, users can set parameters such as cooking time, temperature, and firepower gear.
The 17 models have intelligent cooking and cooking assistant functions, which can automatically adjust the working parameters according to the recipe or the amount of ingredients added, complete the cooking with one click, and help users complete the cooking through voice, graphics and other forms.
Only 10 models have recipe management functions, and the remaining samples cannot be added or deleted on the device or software according to the user's own preferences.
