SAIC's Youdao Zhitu joined hands with Hesai Technology to accelerate the exploration of automatic driving promotion and application

Shanghai Securities News China Securities Network News (reporter Yu Liyan) SAIC Group's Youdao Zhitu officially signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation framework agreement with Hesai Technology on December 15, the two sides will be on the basis of long-term cooperation in the future, aiming at the specific direction of autonomous driving technology research and development iteration, intelligent transportation technology leapfrog development, intelligent logistics service scale and other specific directions, to achieve mutual benefit and win-win, coordinated development, to the trillion-level commercial vehicle automatic driving track, Youdao Zhitu goal in 2025 to reach the scale of 10,000-level loading.

According to the person in charge of Youdao Zhitu, as a "science and technology innovation little giant" under SAIC, Youdao Zhitu has accumulated rich experience in the research and development and operation of commercial vehicle intelligent driving systems by combining SAIC's ten years of intelligent driving research and development results with the three-year quasi-commercial operation practice of Shanghai Ocean Mountain Port. In July 2020, Youdao Zhitu's L4-level smart heavy-duty truck products have started quasi-commercial autonomous driving operations on the Donghai Bridge, with an operating mileage of more than 2 million kilometers, which has truly opened up the whole business chain process from intelligent vehicles, fleet management, logistics scheduling to port operations by embedding real operation scenarios and business systems, and has completed more than 60,000 TEUs of real transfer business.

According to the framework agreement, Youdao Zhitu will be responsible for the research and development and mass production planning of L4 and L3 autonomous driving products, give full play to the product advantages of Hesai Technology, and develop autonomous vehicles suitable for them according to the needs of application scenarios; Hesai Technology will give full play to the technical advantages of lidar for many years to provide high-performance sensors and related services for L4 and L3 automatic driving products under Youdao Zhitu; The two sides will further deepen their exploration on the application scenarios and deployment of solid-state lidar, carry out in-depth cooperation with other business scenarios around the research and development iteration of autonomous driving technology, and work together for the technological development of intelligent transportation and the large-scale landing of smart logistics services.

The person in charge of Youdao Zhitu said that the strategic goal of Youdao Zhitu is to reach a scale of 10,000 in 10,000 orders in 2025, and work with partners to accelerate the exploration of multi-scenario promotion and application of autonomous driving technology.
