As we all know, the Song Dynasty has always emphasized literature and light weapons, so it directly led to the weakness of border defense forces, and Quanzhou is on the coast, often harassed by pirates, seeing this scene, Pu Shougeng saw the business opportunity and had the first evil deeds.

First, officials and businessmen grasp it with one hand and frantically amass wealth. When the border was attacked by pirates, Pu Shou Geng took the opportunity to pay money to help the imperial court resist the pirates, and several times, the Song court regarded him as a hero and specially appointed him as a Fujian pacification envoy. In the Song Dynasty, such official positions had real power, both military and political involvement, and great power, Pu Shou Geng, with such a position, began to develop his own business, and it did not take long to become one of the giants of Quanzhou.
Second, those who are not of our race will have different hearts. According to historical records, the Pu family was not a native of the Song Dynasty, but an Arab with Vietnamese nationality, which shows that he is a foreigner. It is not that the ancients were xenophobic, but that his behavior was criticized. He received many powers and favors from the Song court, but he was not loyal to the Song court. In 1276, the Yuan Dynasty led troops south to attack the Southern Song Dynasty, and the Song court was powerless to resist, so Zhang Shijie led 100,000 soldiers and horses to protect Emperor Zhao Yan and members of the imperial family and began to flee south.
Passing through Quanzhou on the way, the emperor wanted to temporarily stay in Quanzhou and rely on the power of the Pu clan to fight against the Yuan Dynasty, but Pu Shou Geng had already anticipated the emperor's thoughts, so he closed the city gates and regarded the emperor's safety as invisible. The emperor and Zhang Shijie did not dare to delay for a long time, and could only choose to continue to the south, Zhang Shijie was very bitter about Pu Shougeng's behavior of seeing death and not saving, so when he withdrew, he "plundered his boat and did not have his own money". When Pu Shougeng learned of this, he was so outraged that he began to kill members of the imperial family and scholars in Quanzhou in spite of everything. Later, he simply accepted the Yuan Dynasty's offer and surrendered to the Yuan Dynasty with Quanzhou.
Third, betray the Lord and seek glory. After accepting the Yuan Dynasty's offer, he expressed his resolve to Kublai Khan and took the initiative to ask for the pursuit and killing of the diehards of the Song court. According to historical records, in 1279 AD, he personally led an army to pursue the general Zhang Shijie, and finally successfully killed Zhang Shijie and the 8-year-old young emperor Zhao Fu, since then, the Song Dynasty has completely collapsed and the Yuan Dynasty has settled in the Central Plains. Pu Shou Geng was also rewarded for his meritorious service, and since then, he has become more and more important officials in the Yuan Dynasty, until the Zhongshu Zuo Cheng of Jianghuai Province, and the Pu family also followed him more and more developed, and finally became a famous and prestigious family in the Yuan Dynasty.

Finally, after finally establishing the Ming Dynasty, after hearing about the deeds of the Pu family, he was furious on the spot, so he had the edict, and although Pu ShouGeng had died long ago, he was not spared, and was whipped to death for three hundred.
