From sun fujia, the first ruler of the Tang Dynasty, to Liu Chunlin, the last ruler of the late Qing Dynasty, China has produced a total of 594 titles. During this period, 745 imperial examinations were held in 1283, which shows the rarity of the titles. Coupled with the other miscellaneous short-lived regimes and the various generations of Wu Zhuangyuan, there are a total of 777 Wenwu Zhuangyuan with historical records, but the authentic works of the Zhuangyuan are rare. Zhao Bingzhong was born in the middle and late Ming Dynasty, his ancestral home was Qingzhou Prefecture, Shandong, and his father Zhao Bingzhong was an official to the Right Attendant of the Rebbe. In the twenty-sixth year of the Ming Dynasty, the 25-year-old Zhao Bingzhong won the first place in the first rank of the temple examination, that is, the champion. In the temple examination session, Zhao Bingzhong's topic was: Ask the Emperor's Government and the Emperor's Heart. Zhao Bingzhong, who was full of poetry books, wrote 2460 words on the test paper.
Zhao Bingzhong has always admired Zhu Yuanzhang, the ancestor of the Ming Dynasty, so he wrote down ten slanderous remarks on the examination paper against the shortcomings of the government: First, strictly select and evaluate officials at all levels; Second, do not let the shameful words and deeds pass the market; 3. Broaden the channels of speech and strictly recommend officials; 4. Improve the level of education of the people and improve the quality of officials; 5. Redress unjust, false and wrongly decided cases and calm the people's minds; 8. Advocate conservation and oppose waste; 9. Zhao Bingzhong's ten suggestions, even if they are put now, are still effective. Therefore, he was hand-picked as the first place by the Wanli Emperor on the spot. In order to show his encouragement, the Wanli Emperor also personally wrote six big characters of "first place first place" on his examination paper. After that, Zhao Bingzhong was reused and the official was shangshu of the Ministry of Rites. However, because he was a man of integrity, he offended the castration party during Wei Zhongxian's control of the government and was stripped of his post and returned to his hometown. It is reasonable to say that the examination papers of the rulers of all dynasties and dynasties are to be archived, but Zhao Bingzhong did not know what means were used, and brought his own examination papers back when he returned to his hometown, becoming his own heirloom.
When this antique passed to Zhao Huanbin, the 13th generation of Zhao Bingzhong's descendants, the Zhao family had already lost its family, and he himself was just an ordinary farmer. Although life was hard, Zhao Huanbin never thought of selling treasures. He also looked at this baby very tightly, usually wrapped tightly and hidden in the pillow. When you go out, take it with you. The reason why this treasure will be exposed to the public eye is also related to his habit of alcoholism.
Zhao Huanbin liked to drink a little wine when he had nothing to do, and once he drank too much, he leaked the news that he had hidden a scroll in his home. Everyone knew the speed at which the news spread in the village, and before long, the whole village knew that his family was hiding treasures. After learning of this incident, Teacher Wei, an expert at the Qingzhou Cultural Relics Management Institute, attached great importance to it, because at that time, there was no authentic artifact of the temple test in China. In order to identify the authenticity of the treasure, Teacher Wei personally visited Zhao Huanbin's house.
In the face of Teacher Wei's appearance, Zhao Huanbin did not seem happy. He was afraid that others would snatch the heirloom, so he lied: "Lost, can't find it!" Zhao Huanbin's emotions are also very understandable to Teacher Wei, so he did not think that he could make Zhao Huanbin realize the importance of cultural relics protection once. Just as the so-called: "Caused by the golden city, the golden stone is open", in order to let Zhao Huanbin understand the importance of this thing to the country, Teacher Wei has ridden a bicycle to Zhao Huanbin 24 times. Finally, on the 24th occasion, Zhao Huanbin was touched by Teacher Wei's perseverance, took out from under the bed the "heirloom" wrapped in several layers of old tarpaulin and handed it to him.
Through the identification, experts found that the national treasure was well preserved, with a total length of 268 centimeters, 47.6 centimeters in height and 14.1 centimeters in width per fold. At the beginning of the volume, there is the six-character Zhu Batch of Tianzi Zhu Yijun "First Rank first place", and the long seal of "Mifeng Guanfang" under the imperial book. The emergence of the Zhao Bingzhongdian Trial Volume filled the gap in China's court archives, and was an important document for studying the Ming Dynasty's imperial examination system and Ming history, which was of great significance, so it was identified as a national first-class cultural relic. The Qingzhou Museum has also become the only museum in China located in the county.
In 1991, this national first-class cultural relic was also stolen by museum security guards and almost sold for 1.5 million. Fortunately, I found it back with everyone's efforts, otherwise I would be sorry for the donation of the elderly Zhao Huanbin. Since this volume is currently the only authentic work of the temple test in the mainland, it is worth a lot!
