Since the optimization and adjustment of Hangzhou's administrative divisions in 2021, the new Shangcheng has anchored the new positioning of "one district and four centers", focusing on the mission and task of building a "Song Yun Cultural Heritage exhibition center", promoting the integration and development of cultural protection, utilization and inheritance, and continuously stimulating the vitality of Song Yun culture in urban areas.

Q: The 2021 Provincial Party Committee Cultural Work Conference proposes to "let the millennium Song Yun 'flow' and 'inherit' in the new era.". Around the inheritance display of Song Yun culture, what is the target positioning of Shangcheng District?
A: Shangcheng District is the location of the great ruins of the Southern Song Dynasty Imperial City, and is the area with the deepest cultural accumulation and the most complete preservation in the Southern Song Dynasty. From the imperial city to the new city, from the Wushan Tianfeng to the sun and moon Tonghui, the Song Yun culture, the Qiantang River culture, and the red culture shine together and empower each other, adding impetus to the development of various undertakings in the region. I believe that we should "jump out of the Song to talk about Song Yun", base ourselves on local characteristics, and make good use of the experience and enlightenment accumulated by history, so that song yun culture can be "used in the past for the present" in the new era and empower high-quality development.

A: To draw spiritual strength from Song Yun culture, we must first strengthen the study of Song Yun culture. Shangcheng District actively cooperated with the Propaganda Department of the Hangzhou Municipal Party Committee to do a good job in the preparation of the Hangzhou Song Yun Cultural Research and Inheritance Center, strengthened the linkage with Kaifeng, Shaoxing and other places, and relied on the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Zhejiang Qiantangjiang Cultural Research Association and other institutions to give New Connotations to Song Yun culture with regional cultures such as Wuyue culture and Qiantang River culture, compiled and published more than 30 series of books such as "Song Feng Story", held "Song Yun Cultural Interpretation • Face to Face with The Wise" online lectures, 2021 China (Hangzhou) Song Yun Cultural Forum, etc. Promote the research and dissemination of Song Yun culture.

Protect the real scene of "Song Yun"
Q: Shangcheng District is rich in Song Yun cultural and historical sites, what explorations and practices have been made in the protection and development?
A: The display of Song Yun culture requires a recognizable real scene, and the protection of Song Yun's real scene has not stopped.
At the end of 2020, the Deoksugung Palace Ruins Protection and Display Project and the Southern Song Museum (Phase I) began construction, which is the first important carrier of Hangzhou's future large-scale display of the history and culture of the Southern Song Dynasty. The project will restore the architecture of the Southern Song Dynasty Royal Palace and the garden scenery of Jiangnan in an authentic way through the display of the original appearance of the site, simulated display, cover display and logo display, combined with digital display means such as sound and photoelectricity, and reproduce the economic, cultural and social appearance of the Southern Song Dynasty. The project will make a wonderful appearance before the Asian Games and become a "golden business card" to show the culture of Song Yun.
With Deoksugung Palace as the core, we have initially formed a "one-point diversity" display pattern that highlights Song Yun's experience. Accelerate the construction of large projects such as Longju Temple and Haichao Temple, and upgrade and build "Song Yun Culture" identification points such as Qinghefang, Southern Song Royal Street, and Wuliu Lane. Among them, the Qinghefang Historical and Cultural Characteristic Block brings together public cultural venues such as Zhu Bingren Bronze Sculpture Art Museum, LiuJiang Art Museum, West Lake Qin Society, Song Dynasty Jade Art Museum, etc., introducing Zhejiang and Hangzhou craftsmen, intangible cultural heritage masters and time-honored brands, and creating Hangzhou artisan streets and folk culture streets where intangible cultural heritage and time-honored brands gather.

Q: The Song Yun Cultural Festival is in full swing. How do we do a good job in the "transformation" of Song Yun culture and integrate Song Yun culture into the lives of the people?
A: Is Song Yun culture close to the lives of the people? Do people get a sense of happiness from it? Can song yun shine into reality? These are the questions we must consider when exploring the "transformation" of Song Yun culture.
Shangcheng District has held the Southern Song Dynasty Cultural Festival for five consecutive years, and this year it has been upgraded to a Song Yun Cultural Festival jointly held at the provincial, municipal and district levels, and the atmosphere of festival will be ushered in every October. In the past 6 years, the content of the activities has become more and more abundant, including folk temple fairs, literary and artistic performances, intangible cultural heritage markets loved by ordinary citizens, cultural seminars and Song painting exhibitions focusing on song yun research, etc. This year's activities have also led many streets to spontaneously hold Song Yun cultural activities, attracting more people to approach Song Yun and enjoy Song Yun.
Cities need open and inclusive cultural festivals. We hope to take "the grand festival of the city and the festival of the people" as the goal, and build the Song Yun Cultural Festival into an urban cultural activity with the participation of the whole people and the appreciation of elegant customs. Next year, the Song Yun Cultural Festival will combine the time node of the Asian Games and continue throughout the year, becoming a window to show the song yun culture to the world.
