The above is just the tip of the iceberg of Douban being punished. From January to November 2021, the Cyberspace Administration of China instructed the Cyberspace Administration of Beijing to impose 20 disposal penalties on Douban, with a cumulative fine of 9 million yuan.

Some media suspect that this is related to the "water army" industry of Douban, and said that a short evaluation grid of 15 yuan, likes, votes can be spent to buy.
Radar financial investigation found that the Douban platform does have the phenomenon of brushing points, marked as "Douban business", "water army" and other names of thousands of people, there are many people who receive orders Of Douban "brushing" business, there are group owners responsible for publishing tasks, and a large number of "water army" who publish film reviews as part-time.
According to the person in charge of the "water army", one yuan can be liked, and the price of the group posting ranges from 10 to 20 yuan. In addition, there has been a "rice circle" large-scale raising of fans, if you need a big V review, the price is as high as tens of thousands.
Some experts said that the "accusation and evaluation" of the water army on the surface infringed on the order of communication and market operation, and if it was serious, it may also be suspected of violating the law. For such bad online behavior as the network water army, the platform needs to use technical means to identify the water army account, reduce the right to speak of the illegal account, and even take the measure of banning the account.
Radar Finance noted that in recent years, the Cyberspace Administration of China has issued a number of regulations, which have more detailed provisions on the brushing and evaluation behavior of the network water army. At the same time, the main responsibility of the platform has been concretized, and the platform should have the necessary measures to filter the comments of the water army.

Douban, which was exposed by CCTV, has been punished by supervision many times during the year.
According to Tianyancha data, on March 11, 2021, Douban was fined 30,000 yuan by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism for providing the public with online publications suspected of promoting obscenity, pornography, gambling, violence or instigating crimes through the information network, with an illegal business turnover of 5,500 yuan.
On April 19, Douban was fined 16,400 yuan by the Chaoyang District Municipal Supervision Bureau of Beijing municipality and confiscated 4,090.8 yuan of illegal gains for violating the relevant provisions of the Advertising Law.
On August 2, he was fined another 40,000 yuan by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism for publishing and disseminating online publications containing the content prohibited in Article 24 of the Provisions on the Administration of Online Publishing Services.
On November 10, Douban was ordered by the Chaoyang District Municipal Supervision Bureau of Beijing to make corrections and fined 30,000 yuan for violating the relevant provisions of the Regulations on the Protection of Olympic Symbols.
On December 1, the Cyberspace Administration of China interviewed and punished Douban in accordance with the law. In view of the illegal information that has repeatedly appeared on the platform recently, it is ordered to be rectified immediately and the relevant responsible persons are seriously dealt with. The Cyberspace Administration of Beijing Municipality imposed an administrative penalty of a total fine of 1.5 million yuan on Douwang Technology, the operator of Douban.
The above-mentioned penalty information also shows that from January to November 2021, the Cyberspace Administration of Beijing guided the Cyberspace Administration of Beijing municipality to impose 20 disposal penalties on Douban, and repeatedly imposed a fine of 500,000 yuan, with a total of 9 million yuan in fines.
On December 8, Douban was fined RMB8,000 by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism for publishing and disseminating online publications containing content prohibited under Article 24 of the Provisions on the Administration of Online Publishing Services between January 2011 and November 2021.
On December 9, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued a circular on the removal of the list of apps that infringe on the rights and interests of users. Douban collected personal information beyond the scope and was removed from the list of application software on the shelves.
In addition, from June to October 2021, douban received 268,000, 256,000, 239,000, 125,000 and 111,000 cases of illegal and bad information reports from online reporting departments at all levels nationwide, respectively.
There were plans to list overseas
As a social networking site founded in 2005, the development and commercialization of Douban is more Buddhist than Weibo, Zhihu and B stations.
