The grand final and award ceremony of the first cultural and creative design competition of the Potala Palace in Tibet was recently held in Lhasa, which aims to select outstanding design talents through the competition, collect richer Tibetan cultural design elements, and establish the "Potala Palace Designer Library" and the "Potala Palace Creative Design Element Resource Library". Through cultural and creative design competition activities, we will dig deep into the cultural connotation of the Potala Palace, so that the excellent traditional culture and national culture can be inherited and promoted, and the vitality will be continuously rejuvenated, the cultural self-confidence will be strengthened, and the national spirit will be condensed.

Since the launch of the competition in mid-September this year, the organizing committee of the competition has collected a total of 288 entries, of which 62 entries have met the requirements of the competition and entered the preliminary stage. The contestants came from 7 cities in Tibet, most of which were from Lhasa. After two months of preliminary and semi-finals, a total of 12 entries were finally shortlisted for the finals. After the expert selection of the live and real-time video connection, as well as the voting of all the audiences on the scene, a total of 1 gold award, 2 silver awards, 3 bronze awards, 6 excellence awards and 1 most popular award were generated.

The judging experts of the competition are composed of cultural relics appraisal experts, professors of the College of Art and Design of Universities, editors of fine art magazines, managers of cultural and creative management and development of museums and operators engaged in cultural brands, and the event is hosted by Tibet Potala Palace Cultural and Creative Industries Co., Ltd.
