Fan Shisheng studied Chinese medicine with his uncle in his early years. After taking the exam, he joined the League.

Later, Fan Shisheng was admitted to the Yunnan Daowu Hall and was like-minded with his classmates, Deng Taizhong, Yang Hao and others, so he became a friend of Jinlan.

In 1911, Fan Shisheng and Zhu Laozong participated in the "Chongjiu" uprising led by Cai Yi.

At the end of 1915, Fan Shisheng organized the Protectorate Army to go out to beg Yuan. He fought bravely and made many achievements in battle. Mr. Nakayama praised him in public: "There is a model in the army, and the stubborn enemy is afraid to fight!" ”

In 1921, Zhongshan appointed Fan Shisheng as the advance commander of the Northern Expedition. The following year, Fan Shisheng led his troops to defeat Chen Jiongming, the commander-in-chief of the rebellious Guangdong Army.

In 1923, Fan Shisheng was promoted to commander of the 2nd Army and was awarded the rank of general of the army. Mr. Nakayama personally inscribed the four characters of "Merit in the Country" and gave a saber to him.

Fan Shisheng is a loyal executor of Mr. Zhongshan's cause, a loyal friend of our party, and a very good progressive general. He not only saved Mr. Zhu, but also saved Comrade Xiaoping's father-in-law.

In 1927, after the Nanchang Uprising, when Zhu Laozong led the rebel army to Anyuan County, he encountered a large number of Chiang Kai-shek's pursuers.

After a fierce battle, the troops led by Zhu Laozong lacked food, clothing, ammunition, supplies, and countless wounds. To this end, Mr. Zhu wrote a letter to Fan Shisheng, a classmate, a friend of Jinlan's, and then commander of the Kuomintang 16th Army. After Fan Shisheng received the letter, he immediately sent someone to send four silver dollars, eight ammunition, and a large number of materials.

With the help of Fan Shisheng, Zhu Laozong assumed the pseudonym Wang Kai, and the troops also used the formation sequence of the 47th Division of Fan Shisheng's 16th Army.

With the help of Fan Shisheng on many occasions, Mr. Zhu not only solved the urgent shortage of military supplies for the troops, but also created good conditions for the troops to recuperate, strengthen the revolutionary contingent, and preserve the revolutionary flames. Later, Chiang Kai-shek discovered that Mr. Zhu was in the 16th Army and ordered Fan Shisheng to arrest Mr. Zhu. Fan Shisheng also informed Mr. Zhu to leave. Subsequently, Mr. Zhu launched the Shonan Uprising and went up Jinggang Mountain.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Zhu said many times: "Because of Fan Shisheng's most generous and selfless assistance, we have survived the most difficult period and we can settle down." Otherwise, people may have been wiped out, and it is difficult to say that there will be a few people left to go to Jinggangshan to meet the chairman. ”

Fan Shisheng saved Mr. Zhu, and he also saved Comrade Xiaoping's father-in-law, Pu Zaiting.

Pu Zaiting was a great entrepreneur in Xuanwei, Yunnan, who followed Mr. Zhongshan in his revolution.

In 1918, Pu Zaiting founded the "Pu Zaiting Brothers Canned Food Company" to bring Canned Ham from Sherwin-Wei into the international market. Pu Zaiting and Fan Shisheng are close friends.

In 1925, after mr. Zhongshan's death, Tang Jiyao, a general of the Dian Army, rebelled against the revolution. Tang Jiyao's general Yang Ximin arrested Pu Zaiting and placed him under house arrest. As for the reason for Pu Zaiting's arrest, some people say that it was because he supported the Northern Expeditionary Army and was not tolerated by Yang Ximin.

After Pu Zaiting was placed under house arrest, Fan Shisheng joined forces with Li Zongren and others to fight Tang Jiyao. Later, Fan Shisheng rescued Pu Zaiting.

After Pu Zaiting was freed, he returned to Xuanwei with his wife and children and continued to engage in the business of canned ham.

Fan Shisheng was repeatedly suppressed by Chiang Kai-shek because he saved Mr. Zhu and formed a grudge with Chiang Kai-shek. In the summer of 1928, Chiang Kai-shek downsized Fan Shisheng's army into a division, and the officers' teaching regiment was abolished.

In 1932, Chiang Kai-shek simply disbanded Fan Shisheng's army, and Fan Shisheng had to disarm and go into hiding. Living in Lushan.

After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in 1937, Fan Shisheng was allowed to return to his hometown to live and treat people with family medical skills.

Unexpectedly, in March 1939, Fan Shisheng was shot in the street during a medical visit, and he was only 52 years old when he died.

The murderers were two young men named Yang Weiqian and Yang Weixiang. Yang Weiqian and Yang Weixiang's father was Yang Hao. Yang Hao is Fan Shisheng's brother-in-law.

Yang Hao joined the League in his early years and participated in the Yunnan Chongjiu Uprising during the Xinhai Revolution. He was the commander of the Third Garrison District of the Dian Army and the acting chief of staff of the base camp of the Zhongshan Grand Marshal's Office. He and Elder Zhu always worshiped brothers.

Why did Yang Weiqian and Yang Weijun shoot Fan Shisheng?

After committing the crime, the Yang Weiqian brothers went to the police booth at the east end of Guanghua Street and handed over their pistols and surrendered themselves. They claimed to avenge their Father.

Yang Weiqian said: "In June 1925, my father Yang Hao was killed by a group of rebels in a warlord melee. This matter is related to Fan Shisheng. ”

However, some people say that Fan Shisheng was assassinated, which was done by Chiang Kai-shek at the behest of Yang Weiqian and Yang Weijun. What the truth is, it is still a mystery.

When Fan Shisheng died, Pu Zaiting lived in Xuanwei's hometown. Zhu Laozong was leading the Eighth Route Army in the Taihang Mountains to fight against the Japanese Kou. The two lamented Fan Shisheng's death.
