Hao Mengling was a military commander, a military commander who started from a soldier and slowly rose step by step, and was also the first high-ranking general to die on the battlefield during the Chinese War of Resistance.
First of all, during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, neither the Communist Party nor the Kuomintang nor the senior officers of the army were useless, and without their ability and experience in hundreds of battles, they would not put you in the highest position. Moreover, generally speaking, when they reach the position of military commander, they will not be easily sacrificed, not that those who are officials are too much concerned about their own lives, but that they bear the lives of ordinary people, and the affairs of the military are made up of one and defeated by two or three. The commander's responsibility was to direct the strategic deployment of the whole army, and tens of thousands of people were waiting for his orders to start the offensive. So they can't die. After the Japanese invasion of China, Hao Mengling was the first to stand up and ask to go north to resist Japan, and the day before his departure, he returned home and said goodbye to his family. That night the whole family sat together, Hao Mengling looked at his wife, his eyes refused to leave for a long time, he was silent for a long time, he said: "The first half of my life was basically fighting a civil war with various warlords, although I was lucky to get this official position, but in fact, I did not have a sense of achievement, now that the Japanese invaded the doorstep, it is time to stand up and confront them, this is also the responsibility of every Chinese, I may not be able to come back after I leave, this home will be handed over to you."

The next day, Hao Mengling led his troops to Shijiazhuang, and the Japanese who had just entered China had nothing to fear because they had not suffered defeat. This was also the time when the Japanese were at their most aggressive, because in the early stages of the War of Resistance, the Japanese had an almost unlimited supply of aircraft, tanks and ammunition.
Hao Mengling's troops and the enemy engaged in a hellish battle on earth, obviously, the Japanese did not expect to suffer such a fierce counterattack, a tug-of-war began, in one night, the main position of Nanhuaihua changed hands thirteen times, you know how fierce this battle was, although in the end we Chinese took this position, but also paid a very painful price.
Although Our reinforcements arrived in time, Hao Mengling personally went into battle in the rain of bullets and bullets, but unfortunately he was hit by a bullet, and a commander who commanded the whole army was sacrificed. In order to commemorate his great contribution to the War of Resistance, the road was also named Hao Mengling Road.
