The square area is also called the international area, according to Wang Hao, an architect at the Institute of Architectural Design and Research of Tsinghua University, the original design was to place the square area in the Prince Edward City Ruins Park, which is a few hundred meters away from the Winter Olympic Village, which will help the promotion of the Prince Edward City ruins. Later, in line with the concept of frugality in running the Olympic Games, the square area was moved into the sunken square in the Winter Olympic Village. The square area covers an area of about 21,700 square meters, with 23 operating spaces such as commercial services, entertainment and leisure, traditional Chinese medicine display, and cultural activities. The operation area is the office space of the staff of the Winter Olympic Village, and the most important facility in the operation area is the shuttle bus station. During the race, athletes living in the Winter Olympic Village need to take a shuttle bus to and from the stadium, and the shuttle station mainly guarantees the travel of athletes.
