On the occasion of the opening of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, the Philatelic Culture Exhibition of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games and the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games with the theme of "'National Business Card' Shines 'Double Olympics' Glory" will be held from December 16 to January 31, 2022 in the underwater exhibition hall of Xiuchi North Road in Shougang Park.
The philatelic culture exhibition is hosted by Beijing Shougang Park Comprehensive Service Co., Ltd. and China Post Group Co., Ltd. Beijing Municipal Company, and hosted by the Operation Center of Primary and Secondary School Students' Research and Practice Camp (Shougang) and the Beijing 2022 Post Office of China Post Group Co., Ltd. in Shijingshan District, Beijing, showing the grandeur of the Beijing Winter Olympics through stamps, postcards, first day covers, etc.
A total of 160 exhibition boxes, including 2,560 stamps, postcards, and first day covers related to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games and the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games, were exhibited, including 2,560 stamp collection patches, which were divided into three themes: "Olympic Sports Stamp Collection", "Igniting Passion to Pass on Dreams - Beijing Olympic Torch Relay" and "China and the Winter Olympics - Beijing Winter Olympics". The event also popularized Olympic knowledge and demonstrated the charm of Beijing's "City of Two Olympic Games".
It is understood that stamps, postcards, first day covers and other philatelic products are called "national business cards", especially for national and world-class major events produced and issued "national business cards", highlighting special value and significance. The exhibits in this exhibition are courtesy of Tu Yueming, a well-known sports stamp collector and torchbearer of the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games. Tu Yueming has been collecting stamps since middle school and has been collecting stamps for more than 40 years. He produced a special stamp collection of "A Hundred Years of Dreams" that tells the success of Beijing's bid to host the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, which was exhibited nationwide, and was recommended as the torchbearer of the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympic Games for his contribution, passing the Olympic torch at the Beijing Shijingshan Amusement Park.
The relevant person in charge of Beijing Shougang Park Comprehensive Service Co., Ltd. suggested that visitors to Shougang Park need to make an appointment in advance through the "AI Shangshougang Park" mini program to enter the park, and can visit the exhibition for free during the exhibition. The main entrance of the Philatelic Culture Exhibition is located on Xiuchi North Road, and visitors are required to register and measure their body temperature before visiting the exhibition.
