A few years ago, I saw that many old stamp collectors have withdrawn from the pit of stamps and transferred a large number of them at low prices, so I was greedy for cheap while hoping that the stamps would have a second spring, so I took over a batch of old stamps. It is only now that I realize that the era of stamps has become a thing of the past, reduced to a piece of paper, and it is impossible to return to its heyday.
This large pile of stamp yearbooks is overwhelming. In the past, these stamp albums were bought by others for hundreds of dollars, and when I took over, I could buy a yearbook for only a few dozen dollars. Nowadays, basically no one wants to take over these stamp albums, especially after 2000. I estimate that in a few years, these stamp albums may be disposed of as waste paper for eight cents a pound.
These are some old stamps from Taiwan, China, all of which have already been used. Brand new, unused stamps have no market value, let alone used? At the beginning, I was still too ignorant, greedy for cheap, and bought a lot of waste paper that no one wanted. I haven't even touched these stamps myself, so I don't have any feelings, and there is no point in keeping them as a collection, after all, they are all second-hand goods, and I don't have any feelings.
I received this stamp album from an old man, who is said to have spent almost half a century collecting it, but none of his descendants wanted to inherit it, so he passed it on to me. Looking at these old stamps, I can appreciate how precious and hard-won they used to be, but now these stamps have no market value and can only be kept as historical memories.
At this point, regret is useless. I can only keep these stamps for myself to enjoy slowly, and after a hundred years, I will burn them as paper money for me to continue to appreciate by myself.
