This year is different, the 13th Straits Forum conference was held in Xiamen on the 11th, and in the words of Long Mingbiao, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, it is the "end of the year."

A day earlier, at the Straits Youth Forum, where the "most youthful" voice of the current Straits Forum was issued, Xia Liyan, vice chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang, directly pointed out the topic, hoping to "ensure that young people on both sides of the strait can have sustained and long-term exchanges."

To travel from Taiwan to Xiamen and back to Taiwan, you must go through 35 days of quarantine. Wu Chengdian, chairman of the New Party, together with Li Shengfeng, vice chairman of the New Party, and ten other people in his party, "still came to participate in the Straits Forum."

At the forum, Wu Chengdian's speech was repeatedly interrupted by warm applause. He said that they came to express "a firm stand of advocating peaceful reunification of the two sides of the strait and supporting the expansion of cross-strait exchanges and cooperation," and also firmly believed that "more and more Taiwan compatriots, especially young friends, will stand in our ranks."
