Xiamen, 11 Dec (China News Service) Title: Close-up of the 13th Straits Forum Conference: Youth Returns home with good companionship

Whenever the Phoenix Flower is at its most popular, the annual Straits Forum is held in Xiamen. This year is different, the 13th Straits Forum conference was held in Xiamen on the 11th, and in the words of Long Mingbiao, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, it is the "end of the year."

At the end of the year, the end of the day is coming to an end, and I often think about the past; at the end of the year, I open the prologue and often think about the future. This may also be the tone implied by this year's Straits Forum conference: who does not care about the old garden, and youth is a good companion to return to their hometown.

The opening performance of the forum conference is very youthful. Chinese folk music master Fang Jinlong opened, he looks like a silver-haired Saixue, on the video website bilibili, which is highly respected by young people on both sides of the strait, but is regarded as "the existence of breaking the dimensional wall" and is the "most youthful" youthful state.

Fang Jinlong plays the pipa, and Li Ruihan, a Taiwanese girl who graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music last year, pulls an erhu. A song of ancient music "Looking at the Spring Breeze", a piece of Nanyin recitation of "Quiet Night Thoughts", and the performance of the old and young on the same stage and the strait group stirred up the homesickness of Mingyue.

The young actors of Taiwan's New Taipei City Children's Art Troupe on the screen, in the same frame as the Xiamen primary school students on the scene, sang "Young China Says" together, and they were even more overflowing with the vigor of the hidden dragon Tengyuan and the eagle falcon.

Looking at the venue, it can be seen in detail that it is not easy to hold this forum. In the venue, the participants covered their faces with masks and sat next to each other, indicating that this was an offline gathering between the two sides of the strait to face the post-epidemic period. In addition to the impact of the epidemic, there are also human factors on Taiwan Island to interfere and obstruct, but Taiwan compatriots are still video-connected, active voice, and even across the sea, appearing on Heron Island, which is rare and valuable.

A day earlier, at the Straits Youth Forum, where the "most youthful" voice of the current Straits Forum was issued, Xia Liyan, vice chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang, directly pointed out the topic, hoping to "ensure that young people on both sides of the strait can have sustained and long-term exchanges."

To travel from Taiwan to Xiamen and back to Taiwan, you must go through 35 days of quarantine. Wu Chengdian, chairman of the New Party, together with Li Shengfeng, vice chairman of the New Party, and ten other people in his party, "still came to participate in the Straits Forum."

At the forum, Wu Chengdian's speech was repeatedly interrupted by warm applause. He said that they came to express "a firm stand of advocating peaceful reunification of the two sides of the strait and supporting the expansion of cross-strait exchanges and cooperation," and also firmly believed that "more and more Taiwan compatriots, especially young friends, will stand in our ranks."

Taiwanese youth Xu Tao's ups and downs of the "North Drift" entrepreneurial story has repeatedly aroused heartfelt laughter. He is from Taipei and his partner is from Harbin, and the official language of the "Straits Combination" company is "Northeast Taiwanese". It was easy to survive until angel investment came, but it followed the new crown pneumonia epidemic; my mother was worried about whether he was bluffed by his mainland classmates, but he and his classmates were on the Forbes elite list...

"What young people in Taiwan need is not to play waste, not to lie flat, but to have enough stage to change their destiny." Xu Tao said.

The love of the eight thousand miles of luyun and the moon is contained in the family blood of Taiwanese doctor Chen Bairui. The father's mainland complex was pinned on his son Chen Bairui, who chose the mainland to study, so that Chen Bairui ushered in two "curve overtaking" in his life.

Taiwanese teacher Lin Zheyuan visited the reconstruction community of the earthquake victims of Ludian and the resettlement community relocated from Maojiawan, and saw first-hand the great changes in the mainland to get rid of poverty. He held that tens of thousands of young people in Taiwan have studied and worked on the mainland, which has become a powerful witness to the integration and development of the two sides of the strait.

"Please get rid of the mentality of being a guest, spread more objective and true mainland conditions back to Taiwan, and help those Taiwan friends who have no chance to come to the mainland break through the barrier of public opinion on the island." Lin Zheyuan issued an appeal to the Taiwan compatriots attending the meeting. (End)
