On October 13, 2021, Shan X, with the nickname of "Niu**", left a message in a harassing and uncivilized local dialect under a video with 18,000 views, and was found by Zeng X and asked to immediately delete the comment and apologize in writing. In desperation, Zeng had no choice but to file a lawsuit with the court and defend his rights according to law. Shan X recognized the fact that Zeng X's message was left under the video, but believed that the social platform was entertaining, citizens had the right to freedom of speech, and the act of leaving a message did not infringe on Zeng's legitimate rights and interests.

After trial, the Pingjiang court held that although Shan X's message was in the local dialect, the message contained the meaning of harassment and insult in the dialect, and it can be seen from Zeng's video data that he had a certain number of fans in the local area, and Shan used a harassing and insulting local dialect to maliciously evaluate the creator and publisher Zeng, which caused a certain impact on Zeng's reputation. According to Article 1024 of the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China, "Civil subjects enjoy the right to reputation. No organization or individual may infringe on the right to reputation of others by means of insults, defamation, etc.", Shan X's behavior has infringed on Zeng X's civil rights and interests, and should bear the civil liability of a written apology. During the sentencing process, the judge criticized and educated Shan, and Shan realized his mistake and apologized in writing to Zeng.
