Huang Gongluo, a native of Xiangxiang County, Hunan, was a senior general of the Red First Army and one of the "Three Generals" during the Jinggangshan Struggle. In the autumn of 1922, Huang Gongliu was admitted to the Hubei Army Lecture Hall, and in August of the following year, he served as a company commander in the Xiang Army. In 1926, he participated in the Northern Expedition, and the following year he enrolled in the third phase of the Whampoa Military Academy, participated in the Guangzhou Uprising and joined the Party. In July 1928, he participated in the Pingjiang Uprising, led his troops to Jinggangshan in November, founded the revolutionary base areas of Xiang'egan and southwest Jiangxi, and in January 1930, he was appointed as the commander of the Red 6th Army. In the Battle of Longgang, the enemy 18th Division was repelled, in the Battle of Tomita, most of the enemy 28th Division and 1 brigade of the 47th Division were annihilated, and the Independent Brigade of the 9th Division was annihilated in the Battle of Laoyingpan.
On September 15, 1931, he led his troops to participate in the pursuit of Fangshiling, annihilated the enemy 52nd Division, and on the way to move his troops, he was attacked by enemy aircraft at Ji'an Donggu Liudu Pass, and was shot several times in his body and died heroically, at the age of 33.
