Yitong Village has a long history, and in history, it has jurisdiction over 4 natural villages of "Dayi Tong", "Xiao Yi Tong", "Xiangjia Kiln" and "Majia Kiln".

According to legend, during the Western Han Dynasty, it was named silver and copper village because of the production of silver and copper mines in the south mountain of the village, and was gradually called Yitong. According to the "Anyi County Chronicle", Yitong Village is the hometown of Zhang Liao, a famous general of Cao Wei, and the origin of the village name is also related to Zhang Liao. It is said that when Zhang Liao and Guan Yu were young, they chose the same martial arts hall in Yanchi Town, learned martial arts with the same teacher, and formed a brotherly love of righteousness, and the village renamed Yintong Village to Yitong Village.

Yitong Village north of yanchi, the geographical location is important, in order to strengthen the management of lu salt, in addition to the overhaul of the forbidden wall, at that time the yintong village set up a salt supervision department, to guard the salt transport official road from the northwest central plains to the south of the provinces, and the yintong village was renamed Yanchi Town. Because of the salt industry and salt transportation, as well as the mining of nanshan silver and copper mines that arose in the same period, the yanchi town at that time was full of workshops, shops, and merchants, becoming a well-known mining mining and salt distribution and trade town. To this day, the elderly in various parts of Yuncheng often talk about "big silver copper (Yitong Village) and Xiaolu Village" (Lucun is now the old urban area of Yuncheng), which shows the prosperity and scale of Yitong Village at that time.

The village's south Miaogou still has the ruins of copper and silver mining in the Han Dynasty and Tang Dynasty, the ruins of Guanyan Yidao, the ruins of Fagutai of the famous Tang Dynasty general Wei Chi Jingde, and the ruins of the "silver lane" of the ancient official government.

There was originally a Erlang Temple under the Zhongtiao Mountain in the southwest of the village, the original age of construction has not been verified, the temple should have flourished in the Song Taizu Jianlong period, due to war and other reasons, Erlang Temple has been repeatedly disasters, many times rebuilt. When new China was founded, there were only two huts, which were eventually destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, and now only the old temple floor and the title of "temple platform and temple ditch" remain. According to local folklore, the temple is related to the Yellow Emperor Zhan Xuan, according to the Qianlong Period of the Qing Dynasty in the "Hedong Salt Law Preparation" has a clear record: "Erlang Temple, Sanlang Temple in Zhongtiao Sanyin, the year to March Wangri Jiao'anYi County to sacrifice, it is said that with the Dalang for Ji Kun with integrity and meritorious to the salt pond sacrifice." Erlang Temple began to be rebuilt in April 2015, in addition to the traditional painted sculptures, the temple as a whole adopts the wonder of China's painted sculpture technology - "hanging sculpture" technique to create statues, a total of more than 500 Taoist gods and immortals.

In the 1960s, in order to store rainwater from Zhongtiao Mountain and the spring water of mountain streams, the government built yitong reservoir in Tongshugou in Yitong Village, which belongs to the closed flow area of the salt pond in the Shuishui river system, which is a small reservoir mainly for flood control and irrigation, and the reservoir was built in 1985 to protect the flood control safety of Yitong Village and salt lake downstream.

This autumn's continuous rainfall caused a large amount of landscape water to overflow the Yitong Reservoir. On October 7, the research team went to the Yitong Reservoir to investigate, when the road leading to the reservoir was severely washed away, the farmland was submerged, and the mountains and rivers poured into the salt lake. After more than 2 months, the research team saw at the scene that the landscape was still flowing out of the ditch next to the Erlang Temple to the salt lake.

The research team believes that since ancient times, the landscape of Zhongtiao Mountain has been a major threat to the safety of salt lakes, and the ancients built 72 weirs, and the method of channeling the landscape is very worthy of reference. The water quality of the diffuse landscape along the Zhongtiao Mountain is very good, rich in minerals, and it is necessary to build small water conservancy facilities of the diversion and drainage type according to local conditions, make full use of natural water resources as water resources such as agricultural irrigation, green irrigation, and drinking, and explore the effective management of benign water resources suitable for nature, utilizing nature and in line with the requirements of natural laws, while minimizing the safety hazards caused to salt lakes.
